Good morning Debs. I did smile at 'trickle treaters'. Hope the thumb has recovered and well done on your pickling jobs. I bet the balsamic vinegar onions will be extra delicious.
Lily has long gone passed the stage of bringing me 'presents' - she is too old/lazy to be bothered with hunting these days. A bit like @Biglad, she prefers the temptations of a comfy armchair.

@Ladybird4 I was surprised as Gatsby and Leo are not usually hunters, not a mark on the rat but Gatsby was flicking it around and having a lovely time. I remembered to praise him and thank him before getting the dustpan to dispose of it, apparently if you get cross they think you don’t like the gift and go hunting for something bigger!
I saw balsamic onions for sale in York and fancied trying them I also did a small jar in malt vinegar for Maisie’s mom who adores it and would drink it out of the bottle as a child.Β

Good morning LB, debs, Rubee and all to follow.

LB, hope delivery will arrive today. I'm also expecting bird food, among all other dog and cats stuff.

I'm still water my garden and will continue doing that at least ten more days. Sunny, warm and dry again. My new tires arrived few minutes ago. Delivery man called me that he store them inside my front garden on safe. It's very convenient when the same man delivers all the time, so we all know him and he knows us. He is btw. very polite and helpful.Β  Β
I have small break between classes so it's tea time. After school must go to the cottage.

Have a nice day and see you all later.

Window cleaner is coming today. I hope it's not when we are at the SM.

It was a nice fine day yesterday but the washing was still damp. Towel wash today, I hope it dries better.

It didn't, it tipped with rain. Window cleaner had nearly finished but he got wet. Rain wasn't forecast.

Evening all. Been for my covid jab today. Had the flu one at the same time and had them both in the same arm. Nurse said I was "Very brave" πŸ₯³ when I asked for that and warned that my arm will probably be very sore. Last year I had 2 sore arms at the same time which made getting dressed, sleeping etc quite difficult. Figured it would be better to just be uncomfortable on one side this year! So far it's not too bad at all.

Rubee - I hadn't realised your OH had had a reaction to his jab. How horrid - especially with everything else he's going through. Hope he improves very soon.

Rosie - lovely to see you. Keep popping in won't you?

BL - we had that un-forecast rain too. Started just as I was leaving the surgery. Fortunately I'd put all my kit away in the garage before I went out. It would have been soaked! I've always found a window cleaner's visit a more reliable way to make it rain than any tribal rain dance....

Ante - the soil is still dry here when you get down a few inches and the temperature has been around 20C the last few days - very mild. At least we're saving a bit not having to put the heating except for an hour or so in the evening. Good to hear your little cat has made a full recoveryπŸ™‚

Good early evening all. Oh dear Busy. That was very unlucky for you today - wet towels and a wet window cleaner. We have had rain up here.
Ruby, I have done a lot of knitting today after my bird food arrived. The driver kindly carried the two boxes to the garage for me and then I was able to get it all poured into the dustbin I have for the bird food. Its full to the brim now.
Must go and put my bins out before it gets pitch black outside.

Hi T'Bird, you snuckered in there. I had both my flu and covid vaccinations on the same day and in the same arm (left one). It was only stiff and sore for the next day and I am pleased I didn't have any more reactions. Hope Ruby's OH is over it all now. I think you are right about the appearance of the window cleaners and rain following them around.

    Good evening to all.

I came home from cottage few hours ago. I feel very tired so after cup of tea, I'm going to bed. It's Poirot again on tv, and I love it. Tonight is ABC murders episode.

Wish you all goodnight and sweet dreams.
