Morning all - just popped in to report on how the Food & Drink Market went yesterday but then got distracted by @Allotment Boys very impressive bruise. Hope all you are recuperating from things keep going in the right direction and those with birthdays and other celebrations have/had a lovely time. It all went well yesterday - except for the rain! Some quite heavy showers throughout the day which meant that the activities I had on the Castle Bailey were a bit of a washout - the poor entertainers valiantly playing on to a small crowd of shivering diehards under their umbrellas. The cookery demos did a bit better - we had some chairs under a wide gazebo but the last one had to be cancelled when it came down so hard there was a fear that the electrics would go. But some great dishes demo'ed. And I was pleased to have the shelter and a bit of a sit-down - as well as tasting what they cooked! But people still came out for the stalls on the street, despite the rain. (And I was pleased the thunderstorm stayed away until last night when it was all over) Here are some pics:
I’ve tested clear this morning … now I’m keeping away from all and sundry so I can take son to hospital tomorrow … he’s very relieved. If I couldn’t do it he was going to have to call on Wonky, and he knows how busy she is and how complicated it’d be for her to rearrange her schedule … especially with the weather forecast to take into consideration.

Good afternoon, best wishes to all of you with appointments, feeling under the weather or celebrating a special occasion. At last the rain has stopped and the sun is coming out. I thought we were in danger of being washed away yesterday. So pleased that you have tested clear this morning @Dovefromabove. A wise decision to stay clear of folk today so that you can take your son to hospital tomorrow. Hope all goes well.
Thank you for your kind thoughts @Red maple … it’s an op to remove a cyst which, if left will damage both his health and further damage his hearing. A large one was removed two years ago but it’s re-grown, and as a Sound Engineer in the music industry his hearing is his bread and butter. 🤞

So proud of Moira today. She found out about a guy who works for the Archer project in Sheffield, homeless charity, who was sleeping rough for 14 nights to attract publicity. Unfortunately he does not do Social media, so the publicity was not really happening. Moira spoke to him and suggested she could help ,this is the sort of stuff she does for a living. Very quickly the word spread, and now there are National News outlets wanting to cover the story.
