Afternoon all, sunny, windy and very warm today with the odd short sharp shower or two - mainly when I step out of the back door to do something!

Glad your son's ok Dove. and that you have at last emerged from isolation @Ergates.
That is rather scary @didyw, hope it goes well for your OH.

I don't know how you do it @D0rdogne_Damsel.

I'm taking it a bit easier today so thought for a start I'd just clean one of the bird feeders. Unfortunately try as I might, I couldn't get it undone. You are supposed to push two plastic buttons in on opposite sides at the same time but my small hands don't have the strength or reach. Very annoying. Resorted to a long bottle brush and lots of hot soapy water. It's now drying in the boiler cupboard.

I was surprised to see on my usual daily walk this morning that contractors were  digging a trench across the small lane I use, putting pipework underneath and a new drain on one side. It's where the road usually floods badly right across, necessitating wearing wellies. It's been like that for 15 years at least but it is only a single track, dead end lane serving a farmhouse. It's very popular with dog walkers and people wanting a quiet rural route to the village shops.

I'm very surprised they didn't do an Xray of your leg, @Allotment Boy, I still think it would be the best course of action.

Good luck to your OH with the inhaler @didyw, I hope it works well for him.

I hope the dentist cures your tooth pain @punkdoc.

I hung out the towel wash then the window cleaner arrived and shortly afterwards it tipped with rain. It was supposed to be a sunny, mild and dry day today. I was going to do a bit of gardening this afternoon.

I’ve spent the day in the kitchen using up garden produce - butternut squash and chilli soup and green tomato chutney (never made that before - its come out very well 😋).

Hope both @punkdoc and @Allotment Boy get some relief tomorrow.  And great news about your holiday @Hostafan1.

What a shame @Busy-Lizzie … it’s been fine in Ipswich all day 😊

Glad to hear that your son came through the op ok Dove, will you be staying another day with him or are you back home already.
Hope your other half finds his new inhaler a success Didy without any of the side effects.
Glad to hear that you have a dentist appointment punkdoc, it is about time you got some help. Not much worse than a nasty toothache.
I see the wonderful DD is as busy as ever, but I'm sure your friend has had an amazing time staying with you.
Have a lovely holiday Hosta, the sun and warmth will do you the world of good. Enjoy.
Been blowing a real hoolie here today, lots of bits and pieces blown about when I walked out to check at dusk. A bit of a tidy up day tomorrow I think.
