    Good morning to you all.
Still dull and dreary here with the sun making brief appearances in the afternoons - no rain to speak of - maybe next week.  And very unusually warm.  19°C am/24°C pm.

The restaurant in the old part of the city sounds lovely @D0rdogne_Damsel - just bear in mind that it's hard to get reliable staff these days.  I am sure you can handle the extra work between the two businesses.  @punkdoc  And the pain continues - I don't know how you put up with it.  I expect the anti inflammatory tablets will have kicked in by now and eased it up a bit.  @Dovefromabove   Glad you are back home and that your son has had a successful operation.

Wouldn't it be worth it to keep a few stamps as mementoes or collector's items in the future?

Expression for today:  A la Sainte Simone, il faut avoir rentre ses pommes

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Nice to wake up to a coffee made by OH 😍
@punkdoc I hope the pain eases soon. You’ll know this I’m sure, but a long while ago a dentist told me that neurofen was the best over the counter pain relief for dental problems.
Have a lovely holiday @Hostafan1 … enjoy the warmth. 🏖

    Morning all.

I hope you have a good time in Egypt @Hostafan1, but didn't you have some trouble there before?

We enjoyed seeing our friends last night for dinner.

OH had an appointment today at the Norwich hospital for follow up lung tests but they rang on Wednesday and cancelled it, par for the course. Not urgent anyway, his lungs were very good last time. They postponed them last time too, but it was more serious then as it made him miss the date for his operation.

Safe journey, Hostafan, at least you can have a rest when you get to your destination. I’ll have a hug, thanks, even though I don’t technically need one!
Poor Punkdoc, definitely have a take-it-easy day, don’t want to dislodge that blood clot. Sounds as if the tooth must have put up a fight! Hopefully, you are well stocked up with painkillers, and it should start to ease up quite a lot once you are allowed to start rinsing it.
OH still seems to be covid free, so I can start to really enjoy my release from isolation. I do think I will be sneaking back to the spare room to watch television. OH is not a sci-fi fan, and I am now engrossed in The Expanse, only another seven series to go!
Hope son is recovering well after his op, Dove.

    I’m going out 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Only meeting friends for coffee but it feels like a big occasion.  Mr C is up, showered, dressed, settled and being left to littlest Chicklet’s tender care.

Its like when the chicklets were tiny - getting out of the house seems a monumental effort 🙃
  • Hi, everyone, just back in after 4 hours at Barnet Hospital urgent care. GP didn't want to see me,  took day and a half to tell receptionist to tell me to go to A&E.  The good news is nothings broken, not even cracked or chipped . The bad news is the big haematoma could take another month to disperse. I  have to keep moving, but only gently, no digging my Allotment.  Looks like I will be joining @punkdoc in the poorly wing for a while.

I thought you might end up in Urgent Care/A&E @Allotment Boy, I was a bit worried it could be sepsis. Glad to hear nothing's broken, it's a nuisance having to take it easy but at least you have a good excuse.

It's been beautifully warm and sunny so I decided it was time to re-start digging up all the dwarf box stumps in the front garden as they were rather a trip hazard for OH when he's cutting the lawn. Took out eight and decided that was enough for my back/shoulder/fingers to deal with for one day. Trying to be sensible in my old age. 8 down and probably another 30 to go!

I think you must be slightly mad DD to even contemplate opening another restaurant but you do seem to have boundless energy! Good luck whatever you decide to do.

I know the feeling @chicky! I found the struggle to get OH's clean pressure stockings on each day the worst bit. Enjoy the coffee with your friends, you'll have earnt it.

Glad you enjoyed dinner with friends @Busy-Lizzie but what a pain about the cancelled appointment yet again. You're off soon back to France aren't you?

I'm glad nothing is broken @Allotment Boy but it's bad luck about the haematoma.

@Lizzie27 we go back to France on Tuesday.
I think @D0rdogne_Damsel must be a bit bonkers too, she already works so hard, but I've met her and she's not someone who likes to sit still!

I've had a quiet afternoon, ironing in front of the TV.

    Are you there, @Hostafan1?

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Hope @Hostafan1 had a good flight and is tucked up cosily in a comfy bed 🛌  🏖 ☀️… although the sun must be well up there by now. App says it’s 24C there right now.

Also hope @Nanny Beach and her OH are ok … I’ve just read that her OH was rushed off by ambulance in the wee small hours, having had chest pains for 5 hours. 🤞 ((hugs))

12C and pitch dark here … I’m trying to resist giving the coffeemaker a nudge … 😉
