I’m to be tested for thyroid problems. I’m a bit surprised, but there you are. Ā I’m still completely without energy so I assume it’s that ā€œlong Covidā€ thing people talk about.  🤬🤬

one good thing is that we are really enjoying sitting on our front veranda in the morning sun. Pixel really loves being out there as well. šŸ˜‚Ā

I noted that Jerry Lee Louis died. Brings back memories. (I assume that I’ve misspelled his name but can’t be bothered checking). 😳

Morning all. Dark and pouring! Hubby was up all night, the classic D&V,yes Ergates,he's relived to be home. He has "white coat syndrome", but not just as far as his BP is concerned. Full blown, multiple big phobias all his life owing to childhood trauma. (Many years meds and therapy) but pretty much managed to get them in check himself just a few years ago. I see that there are some messages from other folks, pop ups in the PC, but cannot access Hotmail as yet, Big relief, attempting a low fat diet with him....wish me luck.

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļø
    Good to see you @Pat E 😊
Lots of folk are finding it takes several weeks to feel properly ā€˜back to normal’ … so do take it easy … its a good idea to get your thyroid checked, even if just to rule it out. I’ve been on medication for an under active thyroid for years.Ā
Best of luck to you both @Nanny Beach … hope you both have a day of rest and recovery. šŸ›‹ šŸ«–Ā

Good morning to everyone. Ā What another dismal day despite the temperature being so mild. Ā Clocks back an hour. Ā These first few days are difficult to adapt to.

@Nanny Beach Ā What an episode at A & E - not a very nice place to be come night time. Ā I babysat a friend's baby (3 months old) whilst she took her 2 year old into A & E last week with a high temperature. Ā I offered because I deemed it unnecessary to take a baby into such an area. Ā Her husband was away. Ā Anyway she was seen "fairly" swiftly.

@Pat E Ā Gall bladders!! Ā My husband has his out and the fat-free diet went in. Ā Amazing what contains so much fat - avocados, olives etc. Ā We got the "book" and adhered to it. Ā
@Allotment Boy and @punkdoc Healing days before you. Ā R & R and an extra hour today to put your feet up!
@floralies - 2 months wait isn't too bad - I assume you asked to be on the WL. Ā If you go on the Doctor Lib site you can sometimes get a slot - but you have to be vigilant and quick to book. Ā Don't get the Halloween callers around here, they had a parade in the village with afternoon tea munchies afterwards for the kids. Ā A chance for them to get dressed up. Ā Not all parents are keen for the kiddies to be knocking on strange doors.

A quiet day here. Ā Dog walks are limited to lunchtimes when the hunters are inside eating their spoils. Ā Apparently, the govt is thinking about doing Sat Sun mornings for hunters and Sat Sun afternoons for walkers. Ā Wednesdays, Sats and Suns are hunting days and are also free school days - it is also school holidays. Ā

Apart from chasing white butterflies - maybe some deadheading and weeding - a quiet day in.

Hope everyone has a quiet day today.

Morning tui34, I spent many years as a child on a fat free diet,my gall bladder was just b*******, hubby doesn't like either avocado or olives. He does plaster thick butter on toast/sandwiches, if he makes me a sarni,I end up scraping it offĀ  I have beans/jam on toast, that's it,soup is just crusty bread,I don't want butter floating, yuck. Our diets are completely different. I make my porridge with water,he does now have skimmed milk. Thawing him some of my homemade tomato soup for lunch.

    Morning all.

I'm glad to hear @tui34 that the French government are thinking of banning hunting in the afternoons at weekends. I hope they go ahead. My old house in France was surrounded by forest and countryside. The huntsmen were a real nuisance when my children were growing up.Ā

We are going to friends for lunch today, not the friends who came here on Thursday.

We have been enjoying the extra hour in bed, although I wish we could stay in summer time.

Morning all, cooler this morning so I guess Autumn is at last on the way. OH is going to empty some tubs of summer annuals for me so that I can plant the pansies, they usually flower all through the winter here.
@tui34 I have decided to wait for my hospital appointment as I have seen them before and they have my notes, the Dr did say to try the ENT chap in town but he has a bad reputation - a butcher by all accounts and a ferocious secretary! I have some cream that is supposed to help stop the bleeding but it will settle down again, the hot dry weather hasn't helped this year.

Good Morning all. Still warm here and nice weather for the day. We are going on a walk with friends around the vineyards of the Moselle. I am a bit worried re. back pain, but paracetamol in rucksack. Would have loved to do some gardening today but better not. Umpf.

Have a good day all of you and your loved ones.

@Nanny Beach why is it difficult to get men to change their ways? Can I stop OH from plastering toast with butter? No. Well, I hope yours will see that a toast is as nice with less on top.Ā

Heavy showers here this morning. I'm going to let OH do the dog walk because I've got CovidĀ  :/. Felt pretty rough yesterday but a bit better today. Hoping it'll pass quite quickly. Booster was booked for next week so I'll have to push that back.

Hope everyone with ailments and illnesses are doing ok, and Hosta has a lovely holiday
