We received a leaflet in the post, it’s actually got a form on the back of it to complete and post ( Freepost ) with any old stamps to get new barcoded ones sent back. I only have a few. Because the only things I send in the post are birthday cards, I’ve been buying special edition stamps with pretty pictures, they will stay valid. Glad that offending tooth is out, Punkdoc. Make sure you follow the instructions to keep the blood clot in place! Extra pillow tonight if you can tolerate that, or prop the head end of your mattress up. Hope you gave them an earful for not having decent emergency contacts available! Catching up on laundry today, discovered all the houseplants are in dire need of watering too, so I’d better get on with that.
Afternoon all. It's been dryish and so warm! Didn't sleep very well last night so haven't done much today apart from yomping down to the village shop - in 15 minutes which must be a record! I picked up fallen apples from our community orchard on the way home, some for compost and better ones for a Dorset Apple Cake which I've just made.
Had a lovely long chat with my sister, who's just had her daughter with her three young children stay for 5 days! She's got more stamina and patience that I would have. Twins of two and a half and a 5yr old boy.
Pleased to hear tooth is finally out @punkdoc and Didyw's OH is okay after new medication. I have to say I feel so much better after stopping my Alendronate pills.
Good for you @chicky, I really do need to do some h/w..k - soon.
We enjoyed watching The Repair Shop last night with King Charles, he was quite amusing. The restorers are very gifted.
Hello everyone … I’m home and have been fed. The house shines like a new pin. So does George my car as son got the folk who clean the tour buses to clean shine and valet my car too. I’m very tired tho’ … there’s nothing like being at home. 😊

Just in after a very long day, glass of red in hand, finally. My friend has gone home, so, so lovely to spend time with her but of course a bit tiring having someone permanently at your side. That's the problem with her living so far away, she can't just pop over for a week-end or a long lunch, it's always 5 or 6 days and she comes by train so she can't just go off into town by herself or take Charlie somewhere.
I would have liked her to come to Corfu with me and my other friends but she can't speak English and she thought it would be too tricky for her. Also, it's Charlie she really loves to see. They absolutely adore each other, so nice to watch them together. We have known her 8 years now and despite him growing older he is still just as keen to spend time with her. He thinks of her as a big sister and she is just young enough to understand his world as it were, where he thinks I am a bit of a dinosaur.
Harry Potter Cupcakes all done, I am just a bit worried about transporting them to their destination, they are a little bit fragile and also taller than my biggest cupcake box. As they are being collected, it is "technically" not my problem, but I would hate to see them damaged in transit.
Also, to add to my ever busy life I have spotted a restaurant, perfectly situated in the cité médiévale that has come available.... I have ideas about branching out, something entirely different to CdeG, and this would be the perfect location. I also spotted, within about 20 minutes of spotting the restaurant, a house that might suit me too, it would need some modernisation, but is cheap, has a lovely garden ( not too big) and is within walking distance of both CdeG and the 'new' restaurant.... I know, I am completely nuts.... but what fun.... :

Hi all Glad to see you are planning on taking things easy, @D0rdogne_Damsel Not slept well, a lot of pain where tooth removed, think it will be another easy day.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Good morning all. I've been awake since 4am grr. It's going to be a long day. A 2 hour drive to Bristol Airport and a 5 hour flight. Hugs to everyone who needs, or just wants one.
