Blame the stormy weather @D0rdogne_Damsel … or the blackbirds … blackbirds frequently get the blame for stuff in this house … it all started when I found butter on the agapanthus on the terrace … OH said it was the blackbirds what did it … 😉

  • Anyway, had a lovely day with Charlie and a visiting friend at Rocamadour, photos attached...

Played Catan tonight, it felt like Christmas, sadly our friend/adopted sister can't come for Christmas, she lives 7 hours away, so it was a good moment. I put a tartiflette in the slow cooker at 8am this morning for our return, all in all a good day.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
very wet out there, but at least the rain has stopped … everywhere out there is golden yellow with fallen leaves across the grass, roads and pavements.

    Lovely pics @D0rdogne_Damsel … and I love tartiflette 😋

    Hello @“Pat E" 😊 how’s it going?

I have a lot to do today, getting ready to go and stay with son … he’s having an op and I have to take him there , hopefully fetch him back that evening, and keep an eye on him and supply tlc for a couple of days.

fingers crossed this is finally the one that 'holds', @Busy-Lizzie. What a saga.

    Lovely photos DD  :)

@Dovefromabove we used to have a stuffed toy that went by the name of Mulligan. One evening, an ornament on a shelf got broken and Mum assumed one of us had done it and wouldn't own up, so it was blamed on Mulligan. A couple of days later, the new kitten was discovered sitting on said shelf, nudging another ornament with her paw to see if she could make it fall off. So the kitten was named Mulligan  :D We had to blue-tack down the ornaments - she kept doing it.

Busy week this week, off to a 2 day conference in Exeter which I'm looking forward to, all about the new leisure centre that's just opened in the city - all super energy efficient.

Hope you all have a nice, peaceful week

Fingers very crossed for the pre-op @Busy-Lizzie 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

We are one week into recovery here and Mr C is doing well.  Making sure he does his exercises, and finding ways to get around the fact that he can’t bend over - he has a very handy litter picker gadget 🤣.  Our sofa has been raised on bricks which has made a big difference.  Expect him to be on crutches for another 5 weeks - even if he can walk on it, weight bearing is frowned upon.

Littlest chicklet is at home today (working) so I’m feeling confident enough to leave him indoors whilst I go have a greenhouse tidy up.  Time to harvest those tomatoes and chillis and give the place a good clean 🧽.  Might even plant my onion and garlic sets too.

Amaryllis bulbs went in their pots yesterday - the anticipation mounts 😮
