It really was lovely seeing @WonkyWomble and your Lovely Hub and glad he’s feeling a bit better now. Your accounts books look very well organised. Much impressed.
That quince jelly looks marvellous too … and that loom!  I had a smaller one when I was very young and always wanted a bigger one, so I’m very happy. It was lovely sitting by your pond under the parasol and watching all the birds and frogs … amazing to see so many right in the middle of a busy built up town centre.
Ready for bed now, so night night folks … sleep tight 🛌 😴

Evening folks. Sorry not been around for a while, life gets a bit busy at times. I do dash in late evenings mostly just to keep myself up to date. For those of you that remember little Pippin, well she has just passed her 8 week post op marker and is doing really well. Had several visits back to the vet for check up and they are pleased with her. But it has been really difficult as we slowly progressed from 10 minute lead walks for wee's to this last week when she has been allowed out in our garden area alone and free. We moved from a large crate to a crate and a 'fenced' area to a larger 'fenced' area to a whole room, but it has been difficult for her too as she is a normal mad lively pup who was only a year old at the end of August this year plus her little 'sister' who is only two weeks older has had to learn that play times changed to gentle greetings and trips outdoors alone. Poor daughter who usually gets up at 4am to leave for work at 5 has had to get up at 3.30 to do the lead walks before letting the others out and then settling everyone down again before I get up at 6.30 to take over for the day. We have a house full of child gates to divide up our open plan rooms to allow Pip more space as she has progressed. Lots of extra activities have been happening to give Pip special trips out and about by car and then walked somewhere new with lots of new places to 'sniff'. The other two then go off down the fields for the daily check on the ponies, so everyone is kept reasonably happy - but we are exhausted! The vet says that with her good progress Pip should be able to resume normal puppy life in 6 months, back to racing, chasing and full on play. She may always hop with her other back leg as it has become a habit but at least the leg operated on should have built up sufficient support to be used normally by then. Roll on next March!!

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Great to hear that Pippin is responding well to all that tlc @AnnaB … exhausting but it’s so worth it when we see the outcome isn’t it 😊

I had a ‘not great’ night … I seem to have ‘ricked my neck’ and it’s sore … if I’d been awake enough I’d have taken some paracetamol and/or got OH to rub some heat gel into it … but I wasn’t quite awake enough for that. 🙄  I’ll do that now and hopefully that’ll help. 😊

Afternoon all, not done much today apart from my usual walk to get the paper and yet more washing. Although it's sunny, it's also very windy and gusting so not worth trying to do any leaf collecting - lots seemed to have blown down overnight.
Looked out of the bedroom window earlier and noticed loads of what looks like very large bees? in an absolute frenzy dancing around our euronymus hedge and the maple tree behind it. I wondered if a nest had been blown down from the tree? I don't want to go out and investigate as I'm allergic to bee stings.

Hope your neck gets better @Dovefromabove. OH is very achey this morning after his little adventure yesterday - he won't be doing that again in a hurry!

Glad your little dog is recovering @AnnaB.

I can't remember when the first 10 minutes of the news was the funniest thing on TV.
    Devon.
  • It would be funny if it wasn't so serious.  We seem to have descended into utter chaos.

I can’t decide how to spend the day. It’s our 50th anniversary I but still don’t feel like wandering into town. Once I’m over the virus, we might try to celebrate. Not that there’s any exciting places in town.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️

Happy anniversary Mr & Mrs @Pat E … a very special day even if you mark it quietly today and do something a bit more lively when you’re better … just think … we’ll join in your celebration from halfway around the globe! 🎉 I know you don’t do alcohol, so I’ve organised some alcohol-free champagne for you both 🥂
