Happy Birthday for yesterday @chicky, as everyone has said, lovely present.
We saw cranes passing here the other day @coccinella too, always a joy. (Just south of Limoges).
Interesting day yesterday, I hosted an afternoon with authors in the Tearoom at CdeG in the afternoon, really informative and great Q&A between the authors (2 French non fiction, 2 English, fiction). Lots of tea and cake consumed by all too.
Then in the evening I met Charlie and Amelie, the girl friend, that's not a 'girlfriend' so he says, although they're glued together..... Anyway, we attended a really traditional, ancient market event, Frairie des Petits Ventres, not been held for the last two years because of Covid. Well, it was certainly popular, in the really old part of Limoges, reminded me of York a bit, such tiny streets. Not my first choice of food, but was definitely interesting and great atmosphere.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Rain overnight, light cloud now and 14C.
Good to see you @Pat E … take it easy … don’t push yourself. 🤗
Great pics @D0rdogne_Damsel … sounds as if you’re having a great time, even if it is hard work 😊
OH has his 50+ booster today … it’s in a hall in a little town to the south of here … good parking and so much better than going into the busy city. So I’d better get myself organised …

Morning all, belated happy birthday Chicky, gorgeous present. DD lovely pictures. It's mine today, hubby has bought me a white orchid and the latest Jack Reacher....is doing my breakfast. Gorgeous sunny day, cloudless sky. Youngest grandaughter who now lives close, said she would like to come on a beach walk with the dogs.
Morning all. Happy Birthday, Nanny Beach! I’d forgotten the latest Jack Reacher was due out. Once again, wishing I lived down the road from you, Dordogne Damsel! All that cake I’ve been missing out on, and now an afternoon with authors! Hope all are feeling ok? I’d say I’m pretty well recovered now, but this mornings test still had the faintest positive line, so I’ll do another day in isolation. OH had to do an emergency dash to the supermarket as completely out of milk, butter and eggs. Looks nice out, but I’ve just been warned of a possible thunderstorm. Don’t believe it, we have yet had one actually materialise despite the forecasts.
Well, at least one crisis has been averted today ...... I drove OH down to Attleborough to have his booster ... it's a nice little drive out, the parking is so easy, there's never a queue ... we got there in plenty of time and he was dealt with straight away and was out before he was due to go in ... so we started the drive home ... and an alarm on the car started beeping but nothing showed up on the 'this is an emergency ... stop the car' thingummy on the dashboard ... I pulled over ... looked at the handbook ... couldn't find anything relevant ... started up again and drove a little way down the road and it started again.
My heart sank ... on Tuesday I have to pick my son up and take him to hospital for his op, then collect him in the evening, take him home and stay with him for 24 hours etc ... and then later in the week I may have to drive him on a trip for his work ... I began to feel sick in the pit of my stomach ... what the heck could it be? Again I checked everything ............... and found the problem!!!
Instead of my customary body-warmer I had grabbed a 'wrap' ... you know, a thing a bit like a poncho with a split up the front ... and a bit of it had strayed under the handbrake preventing it from going down completely .... I learned to drive in the era when you didn't know you'd left your handbrake on until you smelled the smoke 🙄
All is well and my BP has gone back down. There is a little warning light but the sunshine was so bright it didn't really show up.
Oh, and the autumn colours in the trees and hedgerows are glorious ... get out there in the sunshine if you can folks ... it did my heart good

Happy Birthday @Nanny Beach 🥳 🥂 🍰
We are going to the Farmers' Market in the village hall then to help at a craft fair. I made a cake for it when we got back from Norwich yesterday.
