I also like the look of that, @purplerallim. BTW I just planted out Blue for You this morning. Hope mine looks as nice as yours!

I was hoping to see a pic of your GdF standard, @Nollie. That's going to be epic.

Just translate to Apricot Avalanche and your sorted, M 😊 I might well do that, the b in abricot just looks like a typo when writing in English!

We also had -5c and snow forecast but closer to the weekend, presumably sweeping down here once it’s passed over the UK. Temps several degrees below that are normal in winter here, but that’s earlier than usual. However, the direction of the cold front must’ve changed since it’s just been revised up to to only -1 so I think we’ve missed that bullet.

Thank you Nollie, that's sorted...   Hollyhocks in Dec.  who woulda thunk it?.. [sorry]..
My Foxgloves are still flowering too..

I've had potted roses freeze solid in the greenhouse before, so for short periods it's not  a problem for them, however, if convenient to move to the unheated room, I would consider doing that, late evening, but put straight back out again the next morning, so they miss the very coldest period.. that's all..

Roses never go truly dormant, so the slightest rise in temps can get things a-stirring..

Ah thank you! I will bring them in now and take them out tomorrow morning. Probably doing no good whatsoever but I won't be lying awake all night worrying about them lol

Dames de C is so lovely, @Tack. Trevor White has quite a few Delbards. I wonder if he would consider stocking it.🤔
  • @Nollie - looking forward to seeing how your standard develops!
