Too cold today to wander round the garden looking for the most advanced rose so that might have to wait a week or so. From the windows, none stood out in particular.
Thought I'd be good and print out some labels for the new roses but then found the tape had practically run out. Another job postponed.
Looking forward to our Garden Club meeting on Thursday, a Meryvn Reed is giving a talk on David Austin roses so hopefully that will be interesting.
No problem... that's some work Nollie.. you are clearly very skilled.. I do hope your Midnight Blue picks up for you VS.. it's a lovely rose given time.. I was too impatient..
Ok, gone cold again, need cheering up... I shall post a couple of pretty pics from last year's hot summer.. each day for next 10 days or so... please join in too ! no explanations needed..
Ive been compost mulching today and feeding my roses in the ground (empathy rose food and some well rotted manure round the outside). Got Violette planted and a bunch of perennials. The 4 legged helpers assisted... Now; Summer Will post the otherside tomorrow, todays pic came out all blurry!
Yes my husband noticed that in the DA catalogue,he was a proof reader years ago and is always finding print errors in all sorts of places .Actually…….it gets a bit wearing after a while .
fantastic summer pics.. I too dint feel like taking pics in the cold.. but didn't stop me from squashing the aphids..
that's some project you are doing there Nollie..
@HarryWhite my GO remained more or less at same height.. possibly after a hard prune in its first year.. I liked the scent and that 'halo' effect of blooms..
