Morning folks, a beautiful very warm and sunny day today, just perfect to celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. I treated us to a rather large box of Black Magic, my favourite, a friend is coming over for lunch after her covid jab and we're going out to dinner tonight. We'd normally be away in a nice hotel but that's not very doable at the moment.

Hope you get better soon @punkdoc and hope the knee settles down before your flight tomorrow @Busy-Lizzie. Nothing worse if you have to do a lot of walking.

Enjoy today in the sunshine @Hostafan1 and thank you for your good wishes for OH, you too @Obelixx.

Afternoon folks,  Went to fat club for the first time in 4 weeks this morning and was pleased to have only put on 2.5 lbs.  After what I ate on holiday it is a minor miracle.
Have to do a bit of tidying up for the cleaner to come in the morning, otherwise a quiet day planned.
Hope you feel better soon @punkdoc .  Happy Anniversary @Lizzie27

Afternoon all. Our combi boiler has been losing pressure intermittently since last winter so it was time to get it seen to. The plumber who installed it has disappeared so I tried a local man this morning who said next week at the earliest but he might be able to have a quick look this afternoon. He turned up just after lunch having postponed another boiler install job because of a bad back. He serviced it and found the fault which means a new part needs to be ordered so good news and bad news at the same time.

I am working my way through a big tub of hazel and cob nuts, shelling before roasting and turning into nut butter. I was surprised to get so many nuts as the squirrels usually get there before me. However the blackbirds and thrushes have taken all the grapes so no attempts at wine making this year.

  • Hello you lot, missed you, spent last two hours catching up. Hosta, sad to hear about things, was widowed at 32, went on a bit of a bender so be careful!! Anyway, what do you think of my new project, notice the homage to you? Need a destination point for this path, love heart arch down to the paddock, Brook and pond, can we name it?

  • Hi @SamBevington 😊 so good to see you 😃
just going to bed now but hope you pop in again very very soon 👍

Hi Forkers. Overcast and threatening rain, but the garden will be happy. 😁
