    Morning all.

SM today and we'll go to buy another plant pot at the GC as they are half price at the moment. I used the one I bought last week to re-pot the mint. I put parsley in the mint's old pot. The chives are in 2 ordinary plastic pots and would be better in a bigger new pot.

I hope everyone has a nice day.

Good afternoon all. I went to see Bestie today as she has got a mad busy week this week and has to take her Mum for an appointment on Thursday. The weather was dire - loads of Marti so we spent a lot of time nattering. Her daughter came in from a job and had a bit of a sit down with us before going out to another client.

Having got my Covid booster booked the other day, I've just had my invitation to book for my flu vaccination. I wish I could have these both on the same day but the flu one is on 24th (Covid on 18th). I am going to a family BBQย  on the 18th and a birthday party for my Bestie's daughter's partner on 24th. Should be very interesting!

  • Afternoon everyone.
It's been a beautiful sunny day here and very warm.ย  Popped out this morning and got the few bits I needed. Was very good, nothing else jumped in my basket. Did a bit in the garden and also went round picking up acorns that are dropping like mad this year. Seems to be a bit earlier than usual.
Had lunch in the garden too.ย
Hope you had a lovely day out @Busy-Lizzie. Think I've lost my mint in the pot, hopefully it will return.ย ย
@Ladybird4 hope all goes well with both vaccines.ย  Hope the weather is nice on Sunday for the BBQ

Bestie was picking up her granddaughter from school today and then they were going looking for conkers. They think that they will keep spiders away!
I am signing out for today - its brainiacs night with Only Connect and Uni Chall tonight and I need to get my brain in gear. See you all tomorrow.

    Afternoon all,

It's been raining pretty much all day here. I think any potential water shortage for this year is now over in this part of the world.

Do any other Rezzers donate blood? I'd be interested in your thoughts on your experiences over the last couple of years. I seem to return from every donation with a number of gripes. I'm guessing growing shortages of staff and funding are behind most of them. It's obviously still a worthwhile thing to do, but I always seem to leave the sessions thinking that I might not bother again :oย

  • Sorry @Biglad I can't help you. I've never given blood, although I would like too.ย
    It's just started raining here.
@Ladybird4 beautiful flower.ย  Glad you had a lovely day with your friends. I've heard that tale about conkers and spiders ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've never given blood either.ย  I couldn't in the past when I lived in England because when I was a nurse I worked on a ward for a while with hepatitis patients. I'm not considered suitable in France because I lived in England in the early 80s when there was mad cow disease.

@star gaze lily I didn't have a day out, we went to the SM, supermarket, and a garden centre this morning. I planted up the new pot with chives which were completely pot bound, the old pot was mostly full of roots, don't know where the compost had gone!

  • Sorry @Busy-Lizzie but nice to look round a GC. It's weird how the compost disappears with a very pot bound plant.ย
Will say goodnight to you all. Sleep well.

I offered my blood to the Leeds blood bank years ago but they wouldnโ€™t accept it because I use asthma meds . Such a pity because I am rh negative .
    Good night everyone .
