Afternoon all, wet and drizzly nearly all morning here, bottom of my cotton trousers were soaked by the time I got back home.  Then I had the excitement of driving OH back to the hospital for his 1st physio session, they're quite pleased with him but have given more difficult exercises to do and told him to walk for longer with just one stick.

Oh goodness, just had a phone call from my sister, who wants to come and stay tonight. Cripes, what we call the little bedroom is a complete tip and piled high with stuff. Most of it will have to be put in our main bedroom overnight as OH is installed in the bigger guest bedroom. Rather sad really, our SIL's sister is not expected to live more than a few more days so SIL naturally wants to say goodbye. My sister has gone over to Stoke to pick her up and drive her down. I'd better get cracking - cue, lots of ironing first to get  it out of the way.

Glad the mystery cat problem has been solved Dove.

Good luck with the bedroom clearing @Lizzie27!

Glad the rack is a success @didyw. Those plates look like the ones I gave to Daughter 1, Denby.

    The water butts are full

We went to Morrisons. Huge traffic jam into Diss, yet more roadworks. We had lunch at a pub nearby, which avoided going through the jams again to get home.

There were some quite dramatic clouds last night.

    evening all.
    Home now.
Very heavy rain in Croydon from 4am until I left around 11am
Stopped in at a couple of nurseries up there and treated myself to  a few plants.
The roads are already full of grockles heading this way.

Just waiting for sis to arrive, she's had a very long journey down from Stoke on Trent and I don't suppose SIL stopped talking at all. I gave up on trying to find homes for all the stuff I had in the small bedroom so I'll sleep there as I'm smaller and Sis can have our main bedroom/ensuite. SIL is staying with another of her sisters fortunately.

Fantastic clouds @Busy-Lizzie, it turned out warm and sunny late afternoon but I didn't get a chance to garden. I think it had a good soak earlier which is good.

    Evening.

Did a few jobs for Dad today and also managed a couple of hours in the garden. Just been finding something to wear for a festival on Saturday. It’s at a friend’s who has a big garden backing onto a farm. It’s fancy dress Hippie and Rock Stars! I have a tie-dye print dress and found some rose tinted glasses, so Hippie it is!

    Love the plate rack @didyw

I hope everyone is doing ok.

Looks like everyone’s had a busy but successful day … and the water butts are filling nicely … son did a great impression of a whirling dervish … he arrived … had a shower … borrowed a bath sheet to take back with him cos he’d forgotten to pack one (which is why he’d not had a shower on site … not a lot of privacy without a big towel 😱) had a quick word with us and headed straight back to the festival site … public were arriving this evening and there were still some last minute electricals he was helping with.

Hopefully most of the wet is over for a few days and they should have sunshine and comfy temperatures.

OH is back to work tomorrow, so the kitchen painting will be on hold for a couple of days … however the chaos is being overcome and some bits of downstairs are almost back to normal …

Night night folks … sleep tight 😴

So what plants did you buy @Hostafan1?
How kind of you to give up your bedroom for your sister @Lizzie27 - hope the visit goes as well under the sad circumstances.
Hippie is a good choice for the party @AuntyRach - with bits of jewellery and scarves it's easy to recreate the look.
    Still no rain here.

Phew!  What a morning.  We got up earlier than usual to get ourselves in to town for his Oncology appt, and found my sedan had a flat tyre.  Time was of the essence, as they say, so he suggested I drive his 4wheel drive Ute, which I’ve never driven before. 😳. Anyway, it worked out ok, and I dropped him off at the hospital and drove home again. 🥵.  I did manage, but must admit that I was only in 3rd and 4th gear the whole way and only managed between 80 and 90 kph. Luckily there was no traffic for me to hold up.   He had already arranged for the community driver to take him to Canberra for the eye appt. I’ll be glad when he has the second cataract removed and can see properly again.

Our son will collect Hubby from his appt and bring him here and stay for the night.I imagine Pixel will enjoy having him here.
