Good morning all and hello to @Pat E 😊 ☕️ and Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs @WonkyWomble  🥂

Some rain would be very welcome here Pat, and the sky looked ‘showery’ when I woke but the clouds are clearing now and there’s no sign of rain in the forecast. We drove through a light shower yesterday near Downham Market, but it was so isolated and light that the farmers didn’t even stop harvesting!

We had a lovely visit with MIL, saw one of OHs sisters, stayed up late talking with OHs old school friend, and OH put up some trellis, dig up a dead tree lupin and painted a wall. I sat and chatted with MIL, knitted, helped with washing up and so on. We did visit the garden centre… I didn’t buy any plants … it’s so hot and dry I thought I’d leave it until autumn and hopefully some rainy days before I plant anything. I had toyed with the idea of some Michaelmas daisies but didn’t see any.

Now OH is getting ready for work and I’ll get up and water the pots in a little while …

I’m glad you had a good visit, Dove.  Makes it all worthwhile.

The rain hasn’t stopped all day. Such a change for us. I’m not complaining though.

I’ve sewn up some of my knitted odds and ends and played some jigsaw puzzles. I found a good one with trains, which I’ve always liked. 😁😁

    Morning all.

Have a lovely day @WonkyWomble and Mr WW.

I'm off to Son 2's for the day, but first I have a bit of deadheading to do and some logs to stack, 2nd load, but not urgent as they aren't in the way.

I meant to say that I didn’t leave the garden centre empty handed … they had a sale on in their Pavers outlet, and I needed some sturdy comfy walking sandals … not a lot of choice … but one pair fitted and were half price 👍

    Morning all ☀️

Garden volunteering today - took littlest Chicklet there for the day when she was home for the weekend- it was nice to see it through a punters eyes 👀

Relieved to discover that the hosepipe ban our water company is imposing next week will not affect our area.  I don’t use any more water with a hosepipe than I would with a watering can - it will just take three times as long. Bit daft really. Hoping by the time they get round to restricting us some rain will have arrived 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Morning all. Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs @WonkyWomble with best wishes for many more to come.
Daughter arrived back from her Sussex trip yesterday and suddenly my peacefully quiet week seems to have disappeared behind a whirl of dogs and activities again.
Bit cloudy looking this morning but the sun is shining at the moment and will hopefully stay around as we have one or two 'garden' activities in line for this afternoon.

Tomorrow I am meeting up with my sisters and nieces to spread my mums ashes, so today I need to think of something suitable to say. For anyone who knows the area, we will be spreading them on the Lickey Hills, an area mum loved and which we all visited with her.
