Good morning everyone . LB I hope your results come through soon.Oooh those cuppaโs look good ,can I join you ? Lily your storms are heading our way according to the weather forecast.Hope theย physio goes well .I think a taxi is a good idea.
When the lightning first woke me, I thought the blue flash was an ambulance or something outside. Then the thunder clapped then another flash I suddenly came to and realised it was a storm ๐ Amazing to watch.ย
Ooh Morning @Rubee sorry you weren't there when I posted.ย Hope it's not as close for you, it was directly overhead. OH slept through most of it though๐ย I loved watching it.ย Thank you Ruby.
I'm a tad fragile after golfing yesterday. Managed the full 18 despite teeing off at 5.30pm - it was a bit gloomy coming up the last Despite earlier forecasts, we had warm, evening sunshine all the way round. Glorious, but I'm suffering a bit today ย
I'll give your round of tea a miss, I'm afraid. I've spent my life subjected to a wide variety of looks and comments on revealing that I don't drink it. The reactions have ranged from pity through 'ya weirdo' to outright disbelief Very odd - each to their own, eh?
We have heavy rain! Hurray! ๐ So far, no thunder.
We are going to the SM and to a local pub for lunch. We went to a pretty community village pub for a beer last night and the chap behind the bar said it was being sold. Not making ends meet as a community pub. Our local is for sale and so is a pub we like that does good food near Diss. Pubs all seem quieter since Covid.
I didn't do any gardening yesterday as knee hurt. Had a restful day.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good afternoon everyone. Hair done, world put to rights, lots of tea drunk and the sun finally put in an appearance so we sat in Bestie's garden on her new bench - bought for her special birthday by her family.
Sorry to hear that the golf nearly put paid to you Biglad! Different strokes for different folks as long as you don't drink whisky in place of tea!
Busy, I hope that your painful knee has eased somewhat and that you enjoyed your lunch. Its very sad to hear of businesses closing and I'm afraid there may be more during this coming Winter.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
We went to do the weekly shop. Huge traffic jam into Diss, yet more roadworks. We had lunch at a pub nearby, which avoided going through the jams again to get home.
There were some quite dramatic clouds last night.ย

That is a beautiful sky shot Busy. Thank you for sharing. It certainly must have rained a lot to fill your water butts. I met a lot of roadworks going to Bestie's today. Junctions controlled by three way traffic lights are a pain in the bum!
