@wombletid ... many forum members have been helping folk on this forum for quite a few years ... some have met up from time to time on visits to open gardens etc around the country ... it's quite a community of real people with real gardens ... there are photos of some of them (the gardens I mean) ....... I suggest you have a womble around the forum and get the feel of the place and the people here before casting quite so many aspersions as to our motives. You might even find you like it here and decide to stay and talk about your garden ...... pick up and share a few tips etc ... there are even some threads where we've given unsolicited recommendations of suppliers who have provided good products and good service
Edited to add: In the past some folk have found that using Twitter to contact suppliers results in a much speedier resolution of their complaint than using email ... so if you Tweet, I suggest you Tweet about Suttons.
Once again.......I have shared my experience (I'll go slowly for you), of a Gardening Company.....on a gardening forum. That is very normal behaviour.
Others, without sharing an experience themselves, good or bad, have attacked my experience, and have cast aspersions on me for sharing it. I will continue to push back to those that do.
Hey ho … I think that reply to my pleasant and polite post says it all. 🙄
Makes a change from you attempting to dismiss my genuine negarive experience with Suttons.
Please can we stop now .It’s never going to be resolved one way or another ,it’s turning into a …..yes I did ,no you didn’t ……sort of discussion.Enough already !
Hello wombletid, I would say welcome to the forum but it’s maybe not the time for that right now.
Please excuse my shouty bold print. I’m the local four eyes.
I’ve been reading this thread and can only say the following.
Imagine for a moment that the forum here is a group of knitters. (I’m not a knitter by the way, this is just for setting the scene.) We knitters have been knitting and nattering for quite a few years and have got to know each others’ habits and opinions. We know when to drop a needle and look for it under our chair when the conversation turns to matters that we find not to our taste. And others humour our love of knitting Argyll socks for babies.
And into this group you one day arrive. We all look up from our balls of wool and old plastic bags. You start your introduction by telling us all that the wool man in the market town next to you is a liar and has sold you nylon when you asked for mohair. And then you draw up a chair and wait for us to sympathise.
Life doesn’t work like that, does it? Where in the above little tale does the group support and sympathy break down?
I invite your comments.
If my sharing of an experience with a Gardening Company, with other gardeners, on a Gardening forum, is in someway controversial to you, that's up to you.
What I clearly won't accept, is people attempting to dismiss my experience, without sharing any of their own or even engaging in the substance of my post, but merely tryong to denigrate my experience.
Others have both engaged and shared their own experiences, some have also agreed this is the right place for me to do so.
I have outlined in great detail the lies told by Suttons. If you chose to dismiss them without possibly having any knowledge to do so, again that's up to you.
No one group of people or person, owns this knitting circle.

No one is forced to reply. Its a thread I started. I will continue to push back where I feel I need to. Afterall, it continues to amplify my original post.
No, nobody owns the knitting circle, of course not.
What I was trying to point out was that your initial few posts might have been more along the lines of “hello, I’m a fellow traveller and I like x,y and z and I would like to join in here.”
Then tell us your problem.
Anyway, I don’t knit and I don’t buy plants online. So farewell and good luck in life.
You're probably not an unpaid carer, looking after a disabled parent 24/7. Lucky you, you don't have to sometimes buy online as you can't leave the house often! Such is life, but I certainly don't expect to be lied to multiple times by a company.
When on line nurseries start to reduce their plants, often at the end of May, they are selling them off for a reason. They have grown to a size where it will soon be impossible for the plants to survive being sent through the post.
People cannot resist a bargain and they are inundated with orders, this results in orders not being fulfilled as computer systems are not always uptodate with the actual stock. This happens with lots of on line sellers not just plants. I hate lies but it could be left hand not knowing what right is doing in a stressed situation.
The Garden Centres are struggling to keep plants alive, my local one had hundreds of bedding plants reduced, they needed to be potted on and at this time of year a 9cm pot could not support them. A 9cm pot is often used for online plants. Having watered at a nursery in the past[helping out I have worked for myself until I retired] I can say it is hard work and underpaid. I don't envy anyone trying to run a business involving plants especially with the challenging weather conditions.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
I've flagged this for the knitting circle owners GW team to moderate as they see fit. OP has made their point and isn't interested in actually reading what other people post. Their attitude is confrontational and offensive and this clearly isn't constructive in any way. OP seems to be using the reputation of this forum to raise the Google search profile of their grievance by repeatedly typing key phrases.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Thank you for that constructive posts. Very Informative.
It's the type of post I would have liked from Suttons to be honest, and one they might have attempted to communicate to me. Instead of the ever changing carpet of lies that could not possibly be true, and that I had to actively chase for the privilege of.

Flag away. I have absolutely no idea what half of it means. Apart from *for confrontational see, not taking other people's nonsense. Good luck with it!
