Suttons an APPALLING COMPANY

Has anyone else had problems with Suttons? Judging by review sites, I would say a lot of people.
Order numerous plants in stock on website, dispatch in 3 days. 2 weeks later nothing arrived. Was told after 1 week in phone call they were picked ready for dispatch. THIS WAS A LIE!!
1 week later numerous items had been cancelled without notification as out of stock, so obviously not picked!
1 further week and still nothing! A further phone call and was told they had been delivered, although their own tracking system showed this was ANOTHER LIE.
Then told, sorry all items are now out of stock.
Weeks later and without notification ALL CANCELLED, and now too llateto purchase from elsewhere.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT YOUR PLANTS TO ARRIVE.

I think it's Thompson and Morgan, isn't it? I wouldn't use them again. Similar malarkey.

joining a forum just for a whinge, what a waste of space, all companies make errors. So do customers, like ordering plants on line in midsummer

    In the sticks near Peterborough

@wombletid Yes these things are very annoying especially when one thing is said and then they change their minds.
However I think you are lucky,  I cannot imagine what state most mail order plants would arrive in at this time of year, lots of plants are reaching their full size in the garden and I do think you would be disappointed. Nurseries can only do so much to hold things back.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

They were advertised as in stock and small (below) 9 inches. Two other companies advertised and sent on time, different varieties.
It's the direct lies, that's the worst thing!

I'm sympathetic but I have to say that I have had excellent plants from Suttons. It's true that they are now T&M and they are not always very reliable. I really do hope that they keep the quality of the Suttons brand, since they have kept the name.

T and M have never been very good .Sorry you’ve had a rotten experience. But at least you’ve learned albeit the hard way ,not to go there for on line plants in future.
