Good morning Ruby. I am going over the road to see Jack for a cuppa at 11:00. He is very excited as he is having his second cataract operation tomorrow. I am going to catch up on his gossip and find out if his daughter was pleased with her Bette Midler CD.
I will just do a little bit of the drive at a time - weather permitting. Wrangling the mare's tail is as good for me as going to a gym - and its cheaper! It does tend to exhaust my list of expletives though!
Handy brother spoke with me last night. His neighbour had come around and was very upset. She had rescued a pigeon that had flown into her window and was then being attacked by magpies. She had put it in a box and when handy brother saw it the poor thing had lost an eye and couldn't walk but was calm enough. Poor thing was probably shocked. Anyway, she is going to phone her vet this morning. I suspect it will be kindly euthanased. Its just nature he told her.

Good morning LB, Rubee, SGL, Chive and all to follow.

LB, have a nice time with Jack. Hope his operation tomorrow goes well. Wish him luck and quick recovery. Sorry to hear about poor sleep last night.

SGL, you should probably become a detective.Β  πŸ˜‰

Chive, have a lovely time with your Mum. I'm reconsidering my trip to cottage. It's already quite hot, and I should stay inside.

It's again unusually hot morning. I slept last night, but it wasn't quality sleep, so I fell tired. As I said, I'll probably stay at home and avoid sun and heat.

    Morning all.

I'm sorry you had such a bad night LB. I hope Jack's cataract operation goes well. Sad about the pigeon.

Thank you all about my garden.

Forget to mention yesterday that yesterday I found a pretty little dwarf rabbit in my open sided barn. I'd been wondering what had eaten my strawberry plants, including the leaves. It belonged to next door's children, had escaped a couple of weeks ago. They came and caught it. Next door isn't very close on either side. Young family the other side of the donkey paddock and Annie across the hay field and the little river.

I hope to weed the round rose bed today but thunder storms are forecast.

Morning Hazel. Sorry to hear that you two also had a bad night. Try to rest today. First I needed to check what V and round neck are 🀣🀣. She is with round neck.

Good morning Chive, Ante, Busy and Hazel.
Chive, I was hearing interesting things on the news this morning about school meals and thought of you. Have you noticed any changes on what is being prepared for the little people? Have a nice natter with your Mum. Hope she is still nice and comfortable.
Ante, I think you are very wise to stay at home today. It is not good working in excessive heat.
Busy, that is a nice, happy ending to the story of the little bunny and I bet that there are some really happy little people now they have got their rabbit back.
Hazel, your misunderstanding made me laugh. I really, really, really don't need any more mares tail.
