    Good morning all.

One more poor night. After pets and front garden it's my turn for tea. I must go to school at 10am, we have one more staff meeting.

Wish you all nice and relax day.

Fingers crossed for some serious mares tail wrangling today.
Just because you always wanted to know - today is National Mechanical Pencil day (along with other weird and wonderful dedications) and this week is the Great British Pea Week. Who thinks these things up?

Good morning Ante - you snuckered in there. It must be nice knowing that this is your last staff meeting for a short while and you can concentrate on work at the cottage and your pets. I will join you in another cup of tea

Good Morning Ante, LB & Rubee and all to follow,
Ante Sorry you had a poor night, I hope the staff meeting at school doesn’t take up too much of your day.
LB Hope you had a better nights sleep and win the tug of war with the mares tail, good luck. Hope Jack gets on ok today with his op,
Rubee I hope you & OH had a better night, cuppa is a good idea ☕️
Hazel Nice of your son to come and help install the stair rail, hope he had a fabulous holiday. My son comes home today, I’m looking forward to seeing him later on 🤗
Happy Birthday to Yvies firstborn today 🥳
Taking mum to have stitches removed from the small procedure she had done and need a new battery in my watch.
    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Ruby and Chive. It will be a very poignant day for Yvie's daughter today but I, too, would like to wish her a happy birthday. I didn't sleep too badly last night - unlike poor Ante!
Ruby, I am bracing myself for the wrangle but just as I had got myself into the right mindset it is going darker and darker here. Despite all the rain my poor Katsura tree has begun to cast all its leaves again, or has Autumn arrived early and nobody has told me?
Chive, I do wonder what your son's luggage will look like on his return but I do hope that he had a wonderul time and didn't lose anything else. Good luck to your Mum having her stitches out today.

Good morning SGL. It is not scorchio here and I've just finished over an hour's mare's tail removal from my front path and half the drive. It was spotting with rain all the time. I am quite tired now so am in for a cuppa and a little rest. I do want to watch Cam Norrie's match today. I'll be ringing Jack tonight to find out how he has gone on with his cataract op.

Hi folks,  Hope everyone had a better nights sleep last night.  I didn't sleep too well at Firstborn's I never do in a different bed.  LB I thought you had taken mare's tail cuttings too.  Thought you might be doing some sort of scientific experiment  :D
Thanks for your kind wishes for Firstborn.  Her colleague had retired a couple of years ago.  He had always been extremely fit and healthy and at 62 he moved down to Cornwall to be near his children.  He had a massive stroke and never recovered.  I think Firstborn has taken it badly as it reminds her of her Dad's stroke last year.
After getting the girls to school this morning we came home and hope to get some hedge cutting done later if the weather holds.
Went to Winterbourne house and gardens with friends yesterday in Birmingham.  It was really lovely, I'll try and post some photos on the garden visit thread later.
Hope everyone has a good day.
