Evening All, mum is keeping well thank you and found a few little jobs for me 😊
LB Sorry I missed your post about visiting Jack this morning, hope all goes well with his 2nd cataract operation tomorrow. Sad to hear about the poor pigeon, very upsetting to see any creature injured I hope they found a vet to help. School dinners are very appetising now they have lots of choices, today was a sausage & tomato pasta lunch (vegetarian option without the sausage) with sweetcorn or peas and garlic bread, or they can have a jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a filled baguette. Dessert is fresh fruit or another choice which is changed daily, they also have a salad cart to add extras to the meal and a drink. One of our most popular menus is still the roast dinner and the other is fish & chips on Friday 😋
Hazel Sorry to hear you were another with a rotten nights sleep, hope OH enjoyed his table tennis and you’ve had a gentle day of pottering. Still have some Sunday left overs, you’re welcome to a portion 🍽 😉
Ante That was a sensible decision to stay at home today, your special friend looks very nice as do you 😊
SGL & LB The Starbirds detective team 😎🤩 Hope you’ve had an nice day SGL,
Busy Shame you couldn’t find the plants you wanted at the GC, but the ones you picked are very nice choices,
Rubee Something to help cool OHs legs sounds a very good idea, hope you find a nice book for yourself on the big river site,
    Have a nice evening everyone.

Ruby. I hope that your OH got a bit of a rest in the cool room.
Hazel, I saw myself as the onion in homage to Ante's super crop
I had a nice visit with Jack and whilst I was there he made us a cuppa and we sat in his conservatory which was quite warm. Then it started to rain and it sounded so loud on the conservatory roof. When the rain stopped and the sun came out I volunteered to hang the wet things on the string. Just got a sheet out when Jack's gardener arrived and not wishing for Jack to have grass clippings all over the wet things I had to bring it all indoors again. I ended up leaving them for his daughter to peg out. It is probably just as well I brought it in as it did start to rain again just as I was leaving Jack's. I will ring him tomorrow to find out how his op. has gone.
No further news on the pigeon other than it is still alive and the Vet did ring but Handy Brother's neighbour just missed the call and when she tried ringing back she couldn't get through. That was this morning so there may have been developments since.
Sis-in-law, with the new knee, was at the Doc's today and apparently her blood tests showed her to be anaemic so she is having a telephone consultation on Wednesday to discuss as to what will happen next. Her mobility is very much better though.
Busy I think you will be happy with your purchases.
Chive on TV this morning they were discussing the removal of roast dinners and replacing beef and chicken with gammon because of the high prices. Maybe that report was just from a specific area though.

LB I haven’t heard that we may lose the roast option that would be a shame, ours is either gammon or chicken. Pleased you had a nice chat with Jack and it was kind of you to peg out his wet things even if the gardener & weather put pay to the gesture. Hope SIL gets on well with her consultation on Wednesday, good news that her mobility has improved since the knee replacement.

    Good evening everyone.

Just came home from cottage. I couldn't resist and went up around 2pm. No worry, I didn't work too hard.
Then I wanted to see what is new here and now can't stop laughing. But it's my fault, I started with this idea. 🤣🤣

Chive, thank you. My god, your school menu sounds delicious.

Now is time for dinner, it's pizza night.

Good evening Ante yes, you have created a monster idea here but you know us (should say only some of us - don't want to upset anyone!) - totally mad as a box of frogs! Do you know what? I was just thinking the same about Chive's meals - delicious and made my mouth water.
    Enjoy your pizza.
