I watched the first episode of Sherwood.....well I lasted 18 minutesĀ  of it and gave up. Seemed rather strange, perhaps I should try again šŸ¤”Ā
@Busy-Lizzie hope the journey home isn't too bad for you and you find everything is ok with your home. Take care and safe journey.Ā
@Songbird-1 hope you see little 23 soon. He'll be so excited to tell you  his holiday adventures. 🄰

We are back. The garden is a mess, battered to bits by the hail storm, leaves and debris everywhere. The dining room floor is flooded and the beautiful polished cherry wood table is probably ruined. Yet the roof looks intact from the outside. Cobwebs everywhere and everthing needs hoovering. No mobile phone signal. OH is tired and I feel ill.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Afternoon everyone, couldn’t get on this morning so I’ve only just logged back in,Ā
Rosie Early start, glad you had a nice visit to mum & dad and a delicious lunch,Ā
Rubee I hope you’ve had an opportunity to get in the garden today,
Ante Hope the students last day went well today and you’ve had a good afternoon earthing up your potatoes šŸ„”Ā
LB I was relieved to see your earlier message about the network error as I thought it was just me, hope you’ve had a good gardening day,Ā
Busy Oh my goodness I’m sorry to read that you have tested positive for Covid, and now you have the additional worry ofĀ all the mess and damage at the cottage to deal with, sending my best wishes I hope you will have some help with the clearing up,Ā
SGL Sounds like a fun filled day yesterday with little poppet and his family, lovely to go to the duck pond. Mum is against having another operation on her leg I can’t say I blame her after all she went through before, she has had the troublesome spot removed today though so at least that’s been dealt with,
Hazel Hope you’ll soon be reunited with 23 and lots of stories about his holiday, hope you’ve been enjoying your garden, has the hedge trimming started?Ā
Topbird Another exciting episode from your travels but I would have trepidations about possible encounters with bears, watching the footage from the photographer sounds far better on this occasion 😊
    Have a nice evening everyoneĀ

Hi folks, glorious day here but no gardening for me.Ā  Art class this morning and then popped to B&Q and Ikea this afternoon.Ā  Must water the garden this evening, apart from that nothing on the agenda.
Sorry to hear about the storm damage BL, hope you feel better soon.

    Good afternoon all.
Oh my goodness Busy, I was so upset to read your dreadful news. Both of you will have been looking forward to getting to your home and spending some quality time together there. Instead of which you found a disaster. That must have been an horrendous storm to wreak so much havoc. Have you discovered where the water may have got in yet? Please look after yourself as you are still feeling poorly and your OH should rest after having to drive you home earlier than expected. I do hope that your lovely table can be saved.
Chive, I was in the garden re-planting troughs now that the violas have gone over and potting on a fuchsia cutting in a pot with some cornflowers I grew from seed this year. I did a lot of ivy trimming and cutting back of some whippy growths on a Clematis montana, which was on track for world domination! Eventually it got too hot to work outside so I withdrew to watch some excellent tennis.
I've been meaning to say for a couple of days, handy brother, nephews et al thoroughly enjoyed their weekend in the Lakes. Two of the younger members did make it all the way up to the top of Sca Fell but handy brother decided that it was a bit too much for him going at their pace so he had a more comfortable ramble. The weather was quite kind to them too.

    Good evening everyone.

Bussy, I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly with COVID. Hope you'll be better soon.

Chive, I prepared potatoes yesterday, but it will be earth with tractor. It would be a very hard work earth them by hand.Ā

I survived this last day. It wasn't so difficult, but heat is almost unbearable. I'll pay a short visit to my neighbour and just rest after that.
