Good morning early bird Rosie😎 I've felt betterer and betterer as the day's gone on today thank you. Pretty sure that was my personal brush with Covid.
Partly as a courtesy to fellow passengers and partly because I just wanted to be laid on the bed, I've more or less stayed in the cabin for the last couple of days. When I visited the main restaurant today to fetch a piece of toast I could hear lots of coughing going on. Some excursions have been cancelled because several local guides have tested positive following a steep rise in Covid numbers in Alaska.

T'Bird, good to hear that you are rallying after feeling so poorly. Gosh, I would have loved listening to all those lectures and talks. I remember the horrors of the Exxon Valdez and discussing it at length with my pupils at the time. Those pictures are absolutely stunning. There is something about raptors that just make me catch my breath. They all look so dignified - even when injured. Just beautiful. The sea pictures are wonderful too. I love the sculptural ice floes. You were very lucky to have such a clear view of Mt Elias. Obviously it was meant to be. Those huge expanses of intense blue sky are magnificent. Thank you for sharing them with us.

I'm still feverish and bunged up but had a couple of hours last night feeling a lot better, managed to eat diner. But not well at the moment.
My lovely French neighbour, Annie, rang to ask if we are OK after the hail storm. She's going to do some shopping for us as we have to isolate. We had planned to stop at the SM on our way home on Tuesday, but couldn't because of my Covid.

Topbird Those pictures are wonderful, the blue of the sea and all the scenery it must be spectacular to see and the raptors they are such magnificent birds.
