Evening everyone, lovely and sunny today, LB Mum is not considering having another op, but we still have an option to go back to the consultant if any further problems arise. The chicken with ginger, chilli & lime sounds lovely,
SGL Hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy the weather today, are you sleeping any better? Busy That is a lovely photo of the White cliffs, safe journey, Hazel It’s nice to know that son & family arrived safely and you can check on their home for them while away, hope NDN is careful to mind your plants when they trim the hedge 🫣 Rubee Good to hear that Jim is happy with the current arrangements, hope you’ll be able to do the rearranging to your border when it’s feeling a bit cooler, Rosie Pleased to see you had some more sleep, enjoy watching the tennis, Have a nice evening everyone.
Evening all, Very, very tired today. Stayed at Firstborn's last night and didn't sleep well and had to get up early to get the girls to school. Also had a couple of glasses of wine last night which isn't like me. Have managed to avoid sleeping in the day in the hope that I'll go out like a light tonight. Despite being tired I have been in the garden and managed to get more plants in the garden, only have a few left now in little pots. I've washed all the window ledge trays and put them away and also got a bit of weeding done. The lawns have been mowed and the green bin is absolutely crammed full. Thankfully it's due to be emptied tomorrow. Nice photo of the cliffs BL. Enjoy your evening everyone.
Good evening everybody. I hope that you have all had good days today.
Hazel, I hope that your OH is happy with his haircut. I can imagine you keeping an eagle eye on your NDN when he starts cutting his hedge over your border. I do hope that he has checked for nesting birds. Yes, indeed, with reference to your earlier comment, some birds can have several broods in one year.
Ruby, that is good news about Jim and that he is happy staying upstairs. I have to say it wouldn't do for me but if that is where his bathroom is then it is much more convenient. I'm glad my bathroom is on the ground floor. I hope that tomorrow is cooler for your work in the garden. I'd like it cooler here too.
Rosie, I hope that you manage to get some sleep tonight after your ZZZZZ this afternoon.
Chive, I hope that things are more comfortable for your Mum now. Did you have tea and cake today? I have to say that my chicken smelt nicer than it tasted. It wasn't gingery, chilli-ish or limey enough for me but it was fine and very low in calories so with me on my health kick I was happy. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Yvie, congratulations on overcoming your tiredness and getting stuck into your garden. You can wear today's smug face for a job well done!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I am going to sign out for today. Its part three of Sherwood tonight - which I'm looking foward to. I've just about got over the shock of last Tuesday's ending. Have happy evenings all and I'll see you tomorrow.

Yes thank you LB mum is more comfortable now, no cake but plenty of tea 😊 Sounds a nice healthy dinner 👍 Yvie A busy day, I hope you get a good nights rest tonight, Rosie Hope you sleep well tonight, Signing out too, Goodnight everyone.
LB - well done on finding the CD for Jack - I'm your efforts will be much appreciated.
Big Lad - that lawn's coming on a treat.
The weather finally turned for us yesterday and we're now into the Alaskan norm for this time of year - 13 to 15C and drizzling. No complaints though - we were incredibly lucky for the first half of our trip.
Yesterday we were in Haines - a pretty and very friendly little town with a bit of history to it. Today we've been moored in a remote bay with small boat trips to the beaches and time to wander around ashore to see local flora and fauna. There is a lot of bear activity in these parts so we've all been briefed on what to do if we see one. OH took himself off for a long walk yesterday and did see bear poop along his route. So far only the professional photographer on board has been lucky enough to actually see one but he did manage to shoot some brilliant footage for us all to share.
A big tick off the list last night when we were lucky enough to have a pod of Orca whales swimming alongside the boat last - lovely to see.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Chive I’m glad to read mum is more comfortable. Top bird it will have been moving to see the pod of orca wales and good for you to see the bear footage. Making some tea and having an early breakfast.
Rosie, I'll join you with tea. Hope you had a restful night.
It's here, last school day for students. From now it's more easier. I watered and fed my plants, and now is time for cup of tea. Yesterday I had a lot of work with potatoes, but all is done and now we can earth them.
