    Evening.

Wimbledon is a marker in the year for me. Memories of my Mum explaining the scoring system, days trying to revise for exams but being distracted, warm July days with the sun blazing onto the TV, actually going to Wimbledon, the days when rain did stop play, watching with patients on lunch breaks, the year we had just picked up our two kittens and they slept on my legs with me watching on TV…

I know not everyone enjoys tennis, but for me it’s something I look forward too every year. Cheers to those who also enjoy 🎾🍓

I hope you are all well.

Evening all, had rather a mixed day due to a road closure which necessitated a long 30 mile detour to get back to where we wanted to be. Visited Felbrigg Hall which was an interesting NT property with a superb walled garden, will post pics later. OH borrowed a mobility scooter for the first time (after a quick lesson) and found it much easier to get round the grounds. He also very kindly bought me two more decorative metal border screens for an early birthday present to match the one I bought at the NT shop. I thought they'd be just the job to hold back the verbena bon. from flopping over the lawn. Every year I try to stake it but there's always one bit that escapes.

Just had a very good meal in a friendly pub, chicken & leek pie with mash and mixed veg followed by the first summer pudding of the year - scrumptious with local vanilla ice cream. Now we're both stuffed  and rather tired so might have an early night.

No tennis for us either, we're not huge fans of any sport, apart from OH liking F1 on tv but enjoy the matches @Dovefromabove and @AuntyRach.
Go easy on the clearing up @Busy-Lizzie and the weeding @didyw.

We’ve been for a drive out the back today for a look.  I took some photos of some of the other Eucalypts. More smooth -barked than the one down the front.

No clouds so rather cool. Minus 6 reported in Canberra today. Not sure what ours was.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Lovely pics @Pat E … those eucalyptuses are so elegant 😎
We’re up and about early today as OH is cycling into the city for an 8:30 optician appointment and the boiler service is due between 10 - 2 …
Glad you’re enjoying Norfolk @Lizzie27 … Felbrigg is gorgeous and largely unknown outside Norfolk … sorry about the road closure 🙄 see you tomorrow 😃
