    ;)
  • The next harvest of tomatoes that I sowed from seeds of a tomato that I had bought last year from a supermarket. They are doing well and a good size and flavour.

Glad I lifted the onions before the downpour on Tues, nicely dry and ready for storing. My better half is planning on making some soup with the Crown Prince squash, I'll leave the others to harden off a bit

Finally harvesting my Chilli 'Spangles' - a new variety for me. The shape and the colour progression is unusual.

When the fruit first swells it's proper purple.

This then fades to a creamy colour

Eventually it starts to colour up

And finally it's ready for picking

Had the first one in a stir-fry last night. Removed half the seeds but still nicely powerful.

    Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

I grew Razzmatazz which also is quite similar.

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

Just rubbed the Basil and Sage I collected the other day,  does that count as harvests?
Another tray of French Beans in the freezer.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

🍎 are ready this year quite early, probably because of the hot weather.
