  • You go away for the weekend and come back to this.

Honestly I did clear all of them and gave them to the neighbours before we left, and it was supposed to be cloudy and cooler all weekend! 🤦‍♀️😆
  • Oh what a shame @scroggin, still you seem to have some good sized ones there.  Mine are much smaller this year in spite of regular watering.  I  might have to harvest mine soon but mostly because the foliage is dying off.

  • @Allotment Boy, in the greater scheme of things it's no big deal, it's just depressing that people think so low of others to do this!
I've been really pleased with this variety, F1 Walnut by DT Browns, the average size is really good. I haven't done anything special with the planting, just a general fertilizer at planting time and a feed of tomato food every couple of weeks. They were quite late setting fruit but grew at an amazing rate.

  • Surprisingly picked some more peabeans, thought they were over but the rain has given them a boost. Pulled a beetroot that is nearly the size of a grapefruit. They seemed to have liked the hot weather. Also harvested the white outdoor grapes for wine. Half were no good due to mildew but have still got enough for 4 demijons. Picked some greenhouse eating red grapes which have done really well this year after 2 years of poor growth due to mildew.
