Just wanted a taste of the cherries before they are eaten by the birds. The birds can have the rest, as we'll have plenty of apples, plums and pears in the autumn.

Picked a few strawberries before they become slug food and bird feast. Hope they ripen in the bowl.

The ones with a flush of red should ripen. Not sure about the solid green ones - sorry.

It would be good if they ripen in the bowl; the green ones fell off when I tried to pull out the weeds among the strawberry plants.

I've also been picking strawberries this week. Wish I could remember which variety they were, because they're way bigger than the ones I grew last year.

Yes everything is really going for it. My greenhouse has only been going for three weeks, but have picked five mini cucumbers already, with four  more ready to pick. The tomatoes are up to size, but always need a couple of weeks after that to ripen for the first time. I think they are on time if I pick cherries by mid/late June , and salad by end of July.

The strawberries that were picked yesterday and day before yesterday have now ripened.
