@Eustace No blueberries for us this year. Don't know why but plums have been a great harvest.
Frozen, bottled, jamed and wined our huge harvest and then took even more to the garden club visit to give away. Much appreciated and we didn't waste them.
It’s so nice to be able to just pop out into the garden and harvest a few things for dinner - Niçoise salad this evening, to accompany some lovely seared tuna steaks. I’m still fairly new to all this so I get such a kick out of it!
@butlerjonny yes, garden to plate in a few minutes, that is what is best about it. 😎 This year, we have no greengages at all, a handful of plums. Lots of apples also dropping off, probably the after effects of the recent heatwave. Runner beans has been good though.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
@Eustace we were away for 2 weeks and came back to jungle that we are still trying to find. Yes we still have veg to harvest but have to pick and do things with them very quickly as they seem to be going over so much sooner.....need another freezer!!!
