Some crops coming to an end now. Picked the last of the cucumbers, sweetcorn has finished and I don't think I'll get any more runner beans, though French beans are still doing well. First Chinese cabbage of the year will be going into a stir fry tonight
Runner beans now flowering with renewed vigour having recovered from the heatwave. I'm picking a similar quantity to the photo below every alternate day - plenty for the freezer, neighbours and driveway giveaway.

I only ever get one decent sweetcorn per plant. This year there are second ones lower down, but I doubt they will do much as no pollination. I don't like the baby corn. I'm still taking plums off, and some williams pears .
Wow @Fritillary I've just picked a handful of carrots and five cucumbers, to add to other veg for soup. Now have five double portions ready for the freezer.
@Fritillary, that's an impressive Blue Hubbard 👍. I grew one a few years back with just one squash like you, mine was closer to 20lb but still gave an impressive amount of squash for curries, roasting and soups. The skin on mine was so hard I had to use a hacksaw to penetrate it!
I grew "small courgettes" because my hubby doesn't like them, check out this bad boy, over half a kg. He's just picking the aubergines, then Im making a veggie lasagne. Tomatoes have been mad this year. . did the free Roma, made 4 batches of soup in the slo cooker, frozen for Ron
