A nice selection for lunch and dinner. Not yet ready for harvest but this butternut is the biggest I've ever grown, it's not a one off either, there are another half a dozen this size, the variety is Walnut F1 from DT Browns.
Our 1st parsnip of the new season weighing in at 1 kilo , first leeks multi sown but I dropped them deep into holes and they have much more white stem, carrots grown in stone paving crates full of compost are my 1st free from carrot fly damage, the last 2 sweetcorn making 42 cobs from 16 plants, baby onions, Bramley apples and Victoria plums
@eustace what apples are you putting out for people to take? With the lack of rain our apples are struggling and we have varities coming before others.
@bertrand-mabel the apple varieties are Golden delicious, Worcester Pearmain (though they didn't get to the fully red skin colour this year) and Bramley. As @purplerallim mentioned, they are ready much early this season.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
