The loganberry plant here is quite mature, around 4 years old. I tie around 6-7 canes along the wires and trim the rest. They need very little care other than pruning the fruited canes and tying in the new canes for fruiting next year.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
My loganberry has started to fruit too. A lot earlier than normal, the raspberries have only just got going. So much for succession, it looks like the blackberry will crop in July too, instead of August/September like it's supposed to.
Wow you are so ahead of us. Our logans.....nothing but we do have red currants and today picked the first blackcurrants. Strawberries though have been very poor this year for us. Blackberry....July? no chance for us.
@Eustace you must have mega plants for both as you are harvesting such wonderful "bowls" of each so often. We are not doing so well this year with the straws and our logan is very very old and telling us!
