@Fritillary those were simply cut in half, sprinkled with good olive oil and put in a moderate oven for two hours. They’re in the fridge at the moment but tomorrow I plan to pulverize them in the processer and then freeze them in batches to add to soups, ragu for spag bol etc.

This year's harvest of butternut squash minus the 2 biggest that were stolen plus a large Crown Prince! I wouldn't have picked them this early out of choice but don't want to risk losing anymore so will ripen them off at home.
