Well the car sailed through its MOT,  I should think so it's only 9 this year😉.
I put some plants in the garden and watered the pots on the Patio before lunch and have been to plots this afternoon.  OH has been busy, cleaning , so I think we might be allowed our few days off next week, we will be near Christchurch ,  also @punkdoc is back to keep an eye on you all, I  think we can go with a clear conscience 😄

The storm has finally abated and we have gentle but cold northerly winds now and a few stars peeping thru.   Frost again tonight and maybe tomorrow.  Brrr.   Fell asleep during GW - again - so I'm off to bed.

    Sleep well everyone.

Evening folks, I'm shattered, have done car ferrying, shopping, washing, cooking and h/wk, h/w and more h/w all day. The house is dust free, gleaming, aired from top to bottom and ready for visitors. It's good having visitors though, as it usually makes me have a good clean through and tidy up. Haven't done much of it over last week or two because of feeling poorly.
As luck would have it, it's been a much better day for gardening which is slightly annoying. Hope the weather holds for the weekend.
Sounds as though France is having the same kind of awful weather we had here yesterday, hope everyone will be okay.
Glad you got the leccy and the water supply fixed @Busy-Lizzie and @Dovefromabove.

Have a good weekend  and enjoy your away days @Allotment Boy.

It's never ending, I think I'm jinxed. There is a leak under the hot water tank, cold water so must be the feed to the tank. I turned off the taps above and below and it still leaked, quite fast. Rang the nice English plumber, who is also the electrician, about 10pm. He actually answered! I was expecting to leave a message. He's coming first thing in the morning. He told me to fill bowls and buckets with cold water for use and to turn off the mains (in the garden) and turn the water heater off. Done all that. Still dripping but much more slowly.

Going to bed. Hope I can sleep. Put a saucepan under the drip.

Bless you @Busy-Lizzie ((hugs)) sleep tight … it’s a real nuisance, but not a disaster… and it sounds as if you’ve got a real treasure who will sort it out for you. 😊

Ive just had a panic … I put my reading glasses on and couldn’t see anything … kept rubbing my eyes (I’d just washed and moisturised so thought I’d got moisturiser in my eyes) … but still I couldn’t see the words … then I realised that one of the lenses of my glasses was missing! …  we searched the sofa and everywhere I might have put them …. I was beginning to 😱 … then I put the hall light on and saw something glint on the doormat 👓 a lens … of course I couldn’t see what I was doing, so OH got a hand lens so he could see what he was doing (he’s waiting for his first reading glasses to be delivered) … he’s fixed the lens in and tightened the screw … but part of the frame seems to have split … I need new glasses… now where did I put my latest prescription?   I’ll have a look in the morning …

    Night night everyone … sleep tight … 🛌 🤓

@Busy-Lizzie sounds like your having a horrid time of it,  your handyman sounds like a treasure though,  hoping it gets everything sorted quickly for you

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️ especially @WonkyWomble 🤗
Sort of awake and drinking first coffee … lots of rashers of lovely local rare breed bacon,  and soft fluffy baps from the farm shop baker have been procured  😉  (see what I did there … procured … bacon  … haven’t lost my touch have I? 🤣)

it’s a touch frosty here but the sun is out and the sky is blue ☀️
