Our was such a lovely excuse to spend time with you @Dovefromabove and make myself useful while I'm there! We will do it again soon.... start another jobs list! Pizza is done...... oven is also coming 8 jerk chicken thighs chips your done waste an oven opportunity these days!!
@Hostafan1.... please be a little more kind to cat owners, some of them are your friends 🤗x
Quite frankly @Hostafan1....I wish my cat sh#t in my own garden but she seems to take great pleasure in waiting to empty her noxious bowels until I'm serving dinner..... bless.... she has never quite recovered from the slop they served her at the "rescue" Centre
I always turn the water off when I'm away @Obelixx. Can't tempt fate with an old house. I've never lived in a modern house. Maybe if I'd bought the modern bungalow that Son 2 thought would be best it would have been more practical but I wouldn't have been happy.
I spent the a lot of the day in the garden, it was a lovely day, no coat. Sowed my flower mixture in the donkey paddock this morning and various veg this afternoon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I prefer old houses too @Busy-Lizzie. I sowed some wildflower seeds in trays last November thinking I'd get a head start but, while germination was good, the wee plants grew very slowly over the cold, grey winter and, tho I pricked them out a month ago, they are only just starting to grow well. They need to get a move on if they're to attract pollinators and other insects for the swallows and house-martins.

I hope you are all tucked up for the night by now. So sorry to read that you lost your sweet dog Penny, it is so very sad when one of our furry friends passes on. Sending hugs and my sympathy. Sounds as though you and Wonky Womble had a lovely day Dove, lots of work done as well. Glad to hear that at least your dripping water problem has been easy to solve Busy Lizzie. if you are travelling back to the Uk by car be prepared for delays on the ferry (from what I understand), plus the roads through Kent seem to be pretty blocked at the moment as well. Did I also read that DD's Charlie is visiting the Uk this weekend on a school trip? I hope he has a straight forward journey too. Is it time to wish @PatE good morning yet? I remember reading about your sweet little dog Pat - HRH wasn't it? I was so upset when she died. I can well understand that you enjoy having Pixel to stay fairly regularly, is she still with you or have I missed a post about her returning home? Well time for bed, good night everyone and enjoy your Sunday.

Spent most of the day in garden. Jumper weather here but pleasant enough. Made a Chinese fake-away tonight- very tasty.
