Welcome @PatsyFagan and sorry to hear that you've had a bad bout of Covid. It might take you several weeks before you feel fitter so try to take it easy.

Wish I was out of isolation, got another 4 days to go. I'm getting a bit bored with just sitting around but haven't got the energy to do much. I do feel a lot better today as does OH. Sounds as though we've only had it mild compared to you.

Hopefully the weather is  supposed to warm up over the weekend so I might be able to pootle about outside. I need to sow some tomatoes!

Good luck to Charlie DD, I'm sure he'll be fine.

At the moment it looks lovely outside, blue sky, sunshine and fluffy white clouds but the wind is very cold.

@Busy-Lizzie, OH says you could always try Michelin All Weather tyres?

Welcome @PatsyFagan I hope you feel better soon.

@Lizzie27 I had winter tyres put on because the French Government said that if you drive in certain departments (counties) that could get snow then winter tyres are now obligatory. I wasn't sure what I was doing in the winter. Sometimes I've been to the Massif Centrale with my children and I thought I may have been driving to the UK in January, but the border was closed, Covid, so I didn't.

Cold outside, clouding over, just had some strong wind.

Re winter tyres, on a holiday in the USA, we went through a national park that gets heavy snow. At intervals at the side of the road, there were lay-bys designated for tyre changing. Evidently in the winter, they are ‘manned’ with vans selling and fitting winter tyres or snow chains, before drivers proceed up the mountain.

Well that was a cold day at work through snow, hail and rain... can't decide which was my favourite 🤔
Hot bath time..... I'm sure i'll be glad I'm a gardener in a few weeks time!

I don't think Trump will wanna dance with him, will he?
Hello, @PatsyFagan, I'm new too and dip occasionally into this thread. Everyone is lovely.
  • Evening all, and hello @PatsyFagan :) Hope you and @Lizzie27 start to feel brighter very soon.

Four seasons in one day here and the snow is now looking like it is settling in for the night. I was thinking about going to our local theatre, but not now. The blossom and bulbs are looking very sad. :(

I am making home made burgers for dinner, with all the trimmings, bacon, onion rings and cheese. Washing it down with a nice bottle of red, Pecharment, my favourite. Definitely a staying in evening.

Doesn't  much look like Spring! Staying in with a good bottle of red sounds a very good idea.

Just looked at the time and started reminiscing. It would have been my 55th wedding anniversary today - had I stayed married to the first guy.  No jokes about April Fools Day please, it was after mid-day! It was weather much like today, although not so cold. We left for our honeymoon about six'ish and I wore a pale blue Crimplene suit with a mini-skirt, white gloves and a little hat.  My brother drove us in his tiny pale blue Mini allegedly to the train station. although my first husband had hired a very smart maroon coloured Ford Cortina which he'd hidden just round the corner to fox the pursuing guests. We thought we were the bees knees! We honeymooned in Torquay, couldn't afford to go abroad.

Actually happy memories - it wasn't all bad.
