Morning all. Weather prediction for a sunny day, so three loads of washing are on the line. Now that I’ve come back inside and read my Email, the clouds are rolling in 😡 . I give up!
AnnaB, you’re right about my precious little poodle. I still mourn her.
Pixel is still with us 👏👏 and our son can’t predict when he will come down to get her. The trouble for him is that this new job he has, requires him to be available to take professional photos of various activities. This weekend he had a wedding to photograph. He’s done lots of sporting activities and school photos. I’m so pleased for him. He has been out of work for ages. I’ve told him that I’d worry about her if she had to be on her own for a weekend, even though he’d leave enough food and water for her, because he would never know when his boss would line up another job while the team was interstate.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ A slight frost here but a glorious sunny morning. We’re up early as OH will be working today … he swapped yesterday with a colleague so he could be here when Wonky came. The garden is looking much improved.
@Hostafan1 would be pleased with the splitting and potting on of the rest of the hostas. Because of the plumbing problems I’d not been able to get any more JI2(I usually make a mix of that and homemade compost) so we mixed up some good MPC with good loam from the veg patch and some FB&B pellets. They should be happy with that. Wonky took some baby hostas home along with a big pot of Cautleya spicata.
Glad your son has work he enjoys @Pat E … it’s so important … ( I know what it’s like, my son was without what he called ‘proper work’ since the pandemic hit but he recently got a job he really wanted … it makes all the difference doesn’t it?), and that you’ve been able to help out with Pixel … everyone benefits. 😊

I wonder if your son would be grateful if you offered to take Pixel permanently @Pat E?
Lovely pic of @WonkyWomble. If I left a trail of bacon baps leading to my garden, I wonder if I could attract one too?
I love cats @Hostafan1 but after our last one died we agreed not to have any more - because of the killing. We have a black one that visits our garden and we glare at each other to see who will make the first move before I go into full-on warrior mode and shoo it away.
Didn't go to neighbouring village yesterday - sent OH into town for the shopping instead while I pricked out my tomato plants. Also worried about petrol station not having diesel. But must take the risk tomorrow as I have leaflets to distribute and the car needs a run-out.
@didyw ... @WonkyWomble is sometimes not that far from your neck of the woods ... I suggest a trail of bacon baps from Laxfield to Bungay, finishing heffalump trap baited with more bacon baps 🤣 ... I forgot to mention my wonderful birthday present that she brought with her yesterday ...
just what I wanted ... wonderful plant supports made for her by a chap who lives in North Suffolk ... she got him to make a load and she's sold all her surplus stock to her customers ... brilliant.

What a wonderful birthday present Dove, just what I am looking for. Saw some in a garden centre last week but fairly expensive and rather flimsy. I have seen how to make them on a garden programme(?) just need to get the metal rods now and sweet talk my lovely brother into helping me make them.
There was a frost this morning. Wasn't forecast. It's sunny now 20°.
@AnnaB I won't be going via Dover so I hope the wait won't be too bad. I have a lot of packing to do, overnight bag, box of bits for OH, presents for people, Easter eggs for daughter's sons, my tax papers (declarations online in May) etc. Must clean the car.
Those plants supports look like the ones I used to make from thin steel rods at my old house. Much cheaper than made up ones.
I've been to vote for the next French President. There was a big queue. Tricky moment when they couldn't find my name on the list, woman hadn't looked properly.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Beautiful day, been busy in the garden "helped" by my assistant.
Lovely b'day present @Dovefromabove and I loved the photo of @WonkyWomble
