  • Good morning LB glad you don’t feel so stiff after digging out.  Have an easier day and put your feet up later.  I hope you and Lily had a good night.  Alfie asleep at the moment.  I cleaned the bathroom yesterday just waiting for super mop to clean kitchen and bathroom floor.  About to bake a rustic baguette, enjoy your day.

Good morning Rosie, LB, debs and all to follow.

Nice to see you Hazel, have a lovely time with your Mum.

Debs, nice to hear that your fiance will soon be able to go home every night.

LB, have a nice time in the garden. I envy you at this moment.

I'll join you all with cup of tea. Same miserable, rainy morning like yesterday. I'm little bit behind with my works at cottage. Not concerned about potatoes, still have time, but other veggies are still in the bags or in trays. If weather improves tomorrow I'll go to cottage. It will be sowing marathon.

    Morning everyone,
It's a sunny sunny one this morning and not windy at the moment.
I took awhile to get to sleep, but slept well once I did Rosie. Hope you enjoyed the film.
Changing bedding this morning and will do a few other unmentionables. Then hopefully get out in the garden and finish off the grass cutting. It got too cold yesterday to stay out to finish the back off.
I'll join you in a cup of tea too ☕☕☕☕

    Morning all,

Looks like it could be another fine one today. Although the wind yesterday was having fun ;) A few pots were quite keen to fall over and towels were to be found scattered all over the place when I got home in the evening.

Garden progress is slow and steady but I'm hoping that it'll be looking good later this year. I've found a chap to have a go at the drainage problem. He's going to put drains across as much of the back lawn as possible (about 2/3 due to gravity) attached to an existing house drain, rotavate and put down new turf. Also, a sump pit in the waterlogged corner. Hopefully, once that is done, I can put all the potted plants into the back border and they won't drown ;)

I made my 2nd attempt at the click and collect yesterday. Definitely relayed my thoughts on them inviting me to travel to a closed store last Sunday quite strongly :D and will be making a written follow-up. Whilst there, I found S-hooks that will actually fit over the new fence panels (5cms wide was proving to be a major stumbling block) and support some planters that I couldn't resist. The plan is that it will be harder for the Brians/Cyrils/Rolands to get at my strawbs. It also will free up some more space in the borders for other fruits.

    Good Morning all,
Lovely to see you @Songbird-1 Hazel, hope things are improving and you are both keeping well. The picnic bench sounds like a very nice addition to your garden,
LB Pleased to hear you are not feeling stiff from digging out the Viburnum yesterday, I’m sure the new bog garden is looking good,
Bluebells Glad your new vacuum has arrived and is doing the job well, I’m curious to see what an animal head looks like I could use one of those 😊
Debs It will be nice when fiancé doesn’t have to stay away, hope you enjoy your day in the garden,
Ante I hope the weather is better for you tomorrow to be able to get the vegetables sown, enjoy your day,
SGL It was a chilly day yesterday, I hope you find it’s a bit warmer to be outside today and finish the grass,
Biglad That basket looks really smart the hooks are a great find, it should be safe from harm where you have it🤞
Rubee Glad you had a good day in your garden, nice to see the results of your time,
Dove I’m pleased that MIL is feeling better and you & OH have remained free of the virus so far🤞I love that description of your sofa “plumptious”🤗
Busy Glad you enjoyed your day out yesterday, it looked a beautiful garden to visit with lots of colour and magnificent trees plus cake of course 😋
    Have a lovely day everyone.

    Morning  @Biglad & @Chivetalking
It certainly looks a better day today.
Your hanging trough looks great Biglad, the long hooks are a great idea. The Strawberries should do well in there and will look lovely trailing down the fence.
Hope you're able to play in your garden too Chive.
    Have a good day everyone

I got 3 of those troughs so will plant and hang the other two today. I'm also thinking that I have several other 'naked' fence panels.......

If honeybells are Nectaroscordum then, yes, I have some. I like them, like the oddness. My beds are full of dying daffodil leaves and up and coming alliums anyway, always a bit messy at this time of year.
