Good morning everyone. Yes, Yvie, I think BG just magicked a figure up from mid air. I will not be paying it. I am still waiting for my transfer mess to be sorted. Its only been 7 months after all!
Snoopy and mornings Snoopy funny Snoopy love Charlie brown and snoopy
Its pouring with rain and oh so windy. My bin that I put out last night had been blown over. Luckily it is the paper and cardboard bin and not much had been scattered. I managed to get it all picked up and repositioned the bin, jamming it right up to the hedge. Got thoroughly soaked in the process though.
p.s. I have just had to go out and rescue the bin again!

Good Morning LB and all to follow,
LB Sorry to hear that your lemon trees are looking awful they had been doing so well. Ours was badly affected by the beast from the East a few years ago but it made a come back, you might see a revival of yours. Hope those bin men arrive soon 🙂
Yvie Pleased to hear the new door is making a difference that was a good decision to have it done. I hope your OHs back starts to improve with the physio and your cold clears away soon
so you can enjoy time in your garden while the family are away,
Rubee Good to hear the carpet has dried out and no claim is needed, that must be such a relief after all you’ve been through 😅
Hope SGL is feeling better today, sore throat and cough have eased off,  Hazel I hope OH is getting better, it will be nice to start getting the stain on your drawers now you’ve done all the sanding,
Bluebells Sounds like you had a lovely time at mum & dads yesterday, hope you feel rested today,
Busy That was a marathon session in your garden, you accomplished a great deal. The walk with your neighbour was nice, sounds like you were both in good company,
I need to do an SM shop so best start getting the list together, I’m wondering if some items will be difficult to get now.
Hope you have a good day everyone.

    Morning everyone,
Feeling worse this morning, will do another test later.  Trying to keep away from OH as much as possible, don't want him catching this.
@Rubee good news about your carpet. Bet OH is having fun with the new shampooer,  boys and their toys 😉 and you get carpets cleaned too 😉
@Busy-Lizzie your walk with your friend sounds lovely. Hope you don't ache too much after all your hard work in the garden.
@bluebellsintherain glad you had a lovely day with your mum and dad.
@Chivetalking glad your mum is getting on with the insoles.
@Ladybird4 do hope your lemon tree survives. Good news about your sweet peas though.
@Yviestevie hope you're feeling better. Ope your OH isn't in so much pain today. Pleased your new door is making a difference.
@Songbird-1 hope your OH is feeling better too and you haven't caught it.
My minds gone blank, so sorry.
Going to have another cup of  tea 🍵
    Take care everyone.
  • Chive I need to do sm shop this morning too.  LB I hope you are dry now and warm after your endeavour.  Lily I hope you’re keeping wrapped up.  Hazel it’s been a very blustery night.  It’s good your progressing with your restoration.   Ante I hope Max is resting while he heals.  Everyone take care if going out in the wind.  Busy it will have been lovely to take a walk with your neighbour.  It’s very sunny here presently.

Good morning Ruby, Chive, SGL, RosieBB and Hazel. Better hang on to your trolleys ladies. It is blowing a real hoolie here.
SGL, I am sorry to hear that you are feeling even rougher today. Its definitely a day to stay in and keep warm until you can shake it off. Good idea to distance yourself from your OH too.
I heard a few days back that some cooking oils and eggs may be in short supply. There was some talk last year of olive oil being in short supply because late frosts had decimated the olive groves. I am not going to get into the SM frenzy that occurred in 2020. If anything isn't on the shelf I do without. I don't think I will suffer. I am more concerned about the fact that energy prices are due to rise again this year in the Autumn.
In the grand scheme of things, I am refusing to worry when I look at what is happening in Ukraine. My niggles are as nothing compared to what those poor people are going through.
Right, best brace myself to venture forth. I hope that you all have lovely days doing whatever jobs you get up to today.

Good morning all. I'm sorry so many are poorly- I hope you feel better soon.
Happy shopping to all venturing out. I go early morning to avoid the crowds and it's quiet. Do folk have a list? I try hard to stick to one, especially at the supermarket!
It's very windy isn't it? I have indoor things to do, then hope to be out in the garden later. Take care everyone.

    Morning all,

Marti is back! Just done a quick lap and there is more wind damage from last night than all the winter storms combined :o Nothing major just half a dozen pots tipped over, most of the rhubarb scattered, labels blowing around and the mini greenhouse cover ripped (a bit more). I've tidied up and retreated back indoors.

I left putting out the bin until this morning @Ladybird4. It's the standard household waste for us today, which doesn't get as full as it used to and might be tempted to fall over in the wind. I'm working in the front room so will be able to watch it topple ;)

My energy company are a bit slow with the online monthly bill/statement this time. They're probably giving me extra time to brace myself :(  Where will these rising prices take us? Major intervention is required from the government.
