Hello everyone. Graham a bit happier though his appetite is still poor but I need to remember he is a reptile and won’t eat unless he needs energy to move and it’s too cold to do much of that. Just keep offering and he will eat when he is ready.
Lovely day with daughter and Thomas. I nearly got some hollyhocks but they were a new variety much shorter than usual I want the really tall ones. She got some violas special offer and we had a nice lunch.
Landlords are paying to have horrible block paving in front drive cleaned as a thanks for all our hard work tidying it and filling with pots last year. Had to clear it ready for tomorrow. Hope it looks better and keeps weeds down it’s a full time job at the moment and never looks good. Fingers crossed.

@Chivetalking So sorry to hear your sister and BIL have Covid. Hope it's very mild and they get well soon.
@debs64 lovely photo of little Thomas, he'll be helping you in the garden soon 😍
@Songbird-1 glad OH tested negative. 🤞 it's just a bug.
I've been coughing a lot this evening, temperature is slightly up, but hopefully it the bug thst seems to be going around everywhere at the moment. I'll see how I feel in the morning and I might do another test or maybe leave it till Thursday. Not going anywhere and trying to keep a bit of distance from OH
@Ladybird4 hope handy brother is ok.

Night night everyone sleep well and sweet dreams

Good morning everyone. Sorry for being a grump but I had an email from BG yesterday (my problem has still not been sorted!) telling me that my monthly direct debit will be well over 100% more than it was before - a mere £375.59! I was expecting a price rise like everyone else but THAT MUCH!
Right, now I've got that off my chest, I have to thank Debs for the great picture of Thomas. That did make me smile. I do love tall hollyhocks Debs but have not had any luck in trying to grow them successfully. I loved seeing them whilst on holiday in Norfolk - just growing out of cracks in pavements in and around lovely cottages. Maybe I am too kind!

Good morning all. @Ladybird4 I had a similar email but just said no and decreased payment to what I could afford. Remind them that usage will be less in the summer.
Thomas enjoyed the garden centre he has been going to them since he was tiny tiny.
I have one tall hollyhock healthy plant but I dislike the colour ( think it was labelled incorrectly) so I want about 4 or 5 more to join it. I know they get rust but I don’t mind I just grow other plants in front.
Cool grey day here I have cleared all my pots hope they come today I am quite excited at the prospect of a weed free clean drive.
Hope all you poorly people get better soon. There are a few nasty bugs doing the rounds I am afraid so take care
    Happy Wednesday
  • Debs lovely picture with Thomas.  Chive a windy day out this morning.   Hazel I’m glad oh test was negative.  I hope he feels better in a couple of days.  The govt seem to be completely ignoring the rise in Covid cases.  Boris has been very irresponsible.  LB a ridiculous amount.  I hope it can be soon resolved for you.  Lily do rest and look after yourself.  Having some tea.
