i was thinking my english and typing might be quite annoying but i use phone for this thread and i am not good at typing on phone. i am amazed the way teens type on their phone!
@newbie77 is English not your first language? I would never have guessed! I have an iPhone and find they keyboard so useless compared to my old phone, but the camera is so much better!!
Darcy Bussell has never done well for me and is always one of the first roses to black spot. I gave her heaps of manure, alfalfa and a double quantity of rose food and have been watering like crazy in a kill or cure strategy. Now looking a little better, I didn’t realise she had such a healthy appetite!
@murasaki yes my baby Buff Beauty holds on to colour much better as well.
Here is Ghislaine de Feligonde’s mop top in the sun this morning:
I’m pleased to report that Soul seems to have survived the rain onslaught much better this year (year 3) the blooms at the top of the fence suffered some damage but it’s fine farther down:
Another bloom on little own-root Munstead Wood, deeper red tones than my grafted plants:
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
I find it hard to type on phone with Caps small etc.Â
Some shrub shots today.
Sceptred Isle is doing good, lovely fragrance.
Rapshody in blue is a tough plant, doing very well right in front of monster conifer.
Pink border with Desdemona, Queen of Sweden, Gabrial Oak and Gertrude J in the obelisk. Lots of grass and weeds appearing in border. Need some serious weeding. Havent done any since March.Â
I'm please 'Soul' has withstood conditions @Nollie as it's quite a stunning rose it seems, with good growth.. 'Silas Marner'.. I'm finding this rose quite charming, delicious scent, but rather a floppy habit when young.. 'Lucky'.. 'Devoniensis' and 'Wilhelm'..
