'Mutabilis'.. ..with 'Duchesse de Brabant'.. ..which is a beautiful Tea rose, scented of tea but hates rain.. for hot dry summers.. 'Golden Beauty'.. 'Tottering by Gently'..
This is Dunham Massey. I'm very pleased with the shape of the blooms. I've got the new border all prepared but may wait until next week to see if it cools down before planting out. Currently everything still in pots in a semi shaded area
Totally get the standard obsession, Nollie. Suddenly noticed all these standards in the front gardens all over town and I am ogling every single one.
Here's my one, Perennial Blue. Someone on FB told me it was all one giant sucker because its leaves come in clusters of more than five. I should sue Styles.
The leaf cutter bees like its many leaves, anyway.
Not a rose, but my first ever astrantia coming out. Excited. Think this one is Roma, not Venice, but as the dog nicked the markers not sure. (Photo bomb from Spindly McSpindlypants Ebb Tide, and an honesty who really should be a mass of seed pods by now.)
Accidentally ordered Eustacia Vye and Amazing Day (which was on my radar but cooldoc's pics sealed the deal).
@Nollie Re GdeF... always deadhead if you can otherwise it can stop flowering.. and those spent blooms hang around a bit too long .. I don't think you'll like that..Â
No guesses for these Roses at Sezincote House in the Cotswolds seen and smelt recently. The only authentic Mughal Palace, (built in 1805) in the UK. An amazing place.
Well Rumwoods was as good as their word and sent replacements. I think Twice in a Blue Moon are cursed though as one was squashed in delivery, it had to be the weaker one that has grown a bit spindly, so they bent the top two roses over in packing and that was the one that got squished.🙄 Two rose buds hanging on by a thread! And yes it is the same strange scent @cooldoc
