@peteS I think I have a potted Peace in my front garden. I might have bought it ages ago from a £shop. You can definitely keep it pruned to the size you want as HT roses do well with pruning. This is the photo I posted a few days ago.

Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

@WhereAreMySecateurs how can I not have L'Aimant rose when one of its other names is Oxford? However, let me warn you, it has terrible blackspot.

I wonder what camera Adrian uses because I've never been able to capture that rich royal purple on MW like he has there, superb colours...

I went to our local garden centre, close to their closing time so not much time to check roses. Of course I checked them, very quickly :) and the only thing that impressed me was the fragrance of 'Special Anniversary' HT.

The Ā ā€˜Snow Goose’ in my garden is being grown on a southern facing wall so I’m not sure about shade. It repeat flowers very well all summer but I guess the deadheading would be a pain if you can’t reach or shake as I find it looks unsightly if you don’t keep on top of it.Ā

However, it’s perfect for a small rambler, easy to keep under control, it’s very pretty and needs very little care otherwise. Ā @Marolena has pointed out the link to Blush Noisette, which I was not aware of and find fascinating. Ā I can now see they are actually very similar in growing habit and care needs.Ā

Thank you for confirming that for me, I had a Google yesterday and suspected that’s what it might be. It’s had a flush of new flowers open today so it seems to be doing ok regardless.

Loving all the beautiful rose and garden pics posted. I have had my eye on Buff Beauty and Chandos Beauty for a while so it’s good to see more pics of those. New ones for me that I like the look of are Tranquility,Ā Boscobel, The Churchill RoseĀ and Odyssey…Some would look nice with my new Lady of Shallot, which has opened her first ever buds today here.Ā
