We had been looking for an adult companion for our lonely boy Bill, a Spanish Water Dog (having lost our girl in March) but since nothing suitable has turned up, we have reserved one of these newborn black furballs in the middle, both girls. Mother and pups doing well and we will collect in September..
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
After seeing @Mr. Vine Eye Arthur Bell pictures, I am not convinced my rose is Arthur Bell too. It's colour is yellow in the bud, but soon turns cream. Five years ago it was an unhappy inherited rose in a bed, in 2018 I moved it out front into its own space, but also from full sun to morning sun. The three pictures are of it in 2018, 2020 and 2022 Am I right to think it is something else?
As Fire says, there are two distinct Arthur Bells, the fragrant little shrub and the wonderful sprawling climber. I have the climber. Your one there looks overwhelmingly cream, but mine stays overwhelmingly yellow... the blooms just go creamy yellow at the shatter stage. But! Mine is in semi-sun on a northfacing fence.
It is extremely floriferous, never ever stops blooms, is wonderfully healthy and sends up new canes nonstop. Your foliage looks the same- big dark green leaves.
In this google-generated collage, the top two shots are the same blooms several days apart which shows the colour change (same with bottom two).
@newbie77 Not The Prince was from Dewilde in the Netherlands. I actually got two from them but one is wimpy, sickly and never bloomed. Suspect that is also incorrect.
Well, Dogs ‘n Roses are of a kind, both needing lots of love and attention. Would’ve preferred an older companion for 10yr old Bill, but twas not to be. Hope he will cope!

As I said I'm not convinced @WhereAreMySecateurs that I have Arthur Bell. Mine goes cream almost from opening. It was such a weedy thing at first that it was hard to say, but now it puts on a good show all summer. The trouble is it is at least 10 if not 20 years old ( according to the previous house owner) so 🤷♀️
Yes, I remember you posting it earlier in the summer and I didn't think it looked like my Arthur (a lady on the nearby estate also has Arthur and hers does look like mine, but mine is only two years old, hers is mahoosive!)
