@Tack oh dear! I was hoping for it to make up for Claire’s slow growth as they will be climbing up on the same fence .. 😬

Isn't the lovely Strawberry Hill supposed to be a fast climber? (Though Pierre de Ronsard is even prettier IMO)

Strawberry Hill filled its 7ft high by 2ft trellis this year for the first time having been planted as a potted rose May'20. The Generous Gardener, Wollerton Old Hall and Bathsheba were the most vigorous David Austins in my garden.

@celcius_kkw Amazing Roald Dahl and your MW is indeed doing well in the ground.  :) I have Palais Royal which is also called Blanc Pierre de Ronsard. It was a sickly specimen when I got it as a bareroot, now in its 3rd year, first 2 years it was just creep as is their wont, this year it has thrown an 8 foot tall cane with lots of flowers. It has almost finished its first flush, may be a few blooms still hanging on there. All facing my neighbour though, over the fence.
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

Thanks for the info @Marlorena...having said that, it's got mixed reviews on 'findmerose'. I don't know how relevant those reviews are though for growing it in this country.
