Only planted them this spring @cooldoc so have no idea yet. Went for Twice as was hoping a newer cultivar had more protection from disease,  as Blue Moon tended towards being sickly, but we are talking 35 years ago.😆

They look lovely @Omori, having bought my first standard I’m now inordinately interested in them!

Talking of which, I never really considered deadheading my Ghislaine and it’s a really tall standard. Do those that have her have to deadhead her regularly or does she just bloom on regardless?

@Imprevu and everyone else you are very welcome to my heat, I’m hoping it will pass over us soon, phew!

Beautiful roses - I so enjoy seeing them.

@Marlorena @Oliya @ MuseLea, regarding the wrong rose, ie BMS instead of Elizabeth -
I think you’re right, it probably is BMS. It does have those red thorns, just like Marloren’s photo, and yes MuseLea, it doesn’t look like your Roald Dahl. I was going by the colour, but it’s certainly not thornless.

It’s my birthday in a couple of weeks and I was thinking of getting Tottering by Gently, so I think I’ll go for those and think about what bare roots to get to replace the BMS in the autumn. The BMS s will be moved elsewhere in due course. Yes, I wonder how many people have had the same thing happen?  Anyway, I’ll stop going on about it now and just enjoy them. Many thanks for your advice and helpful opinions.

..lovely morning roses from everyone today, including companions plants... Goldfinch is gorgeous too.. one can see the close resemblance to its 'daughter' Ghislaine de Feligonde..
