    Oh katsa. Hope your rose recovers soon. You can take a cutting from broken bit and plant it somewhere too.

    @Katsa - poor thing, it’ll be fine.

    At least you didn’t drive a car into it like I did last year!

  • If anyone fancies growing true blue roses from seed... :D

  • Btw Fire I think your peaceful seated area looks just lovely. Do you hear birdsong there?

    That is a pain @Katsa but roses are great at surviving such things. Another order 'just in case' not a bad idea though ;)
    I don't have a cream...do I need a cream? When people ask my colour palette I usually say everything bar salmon and coral but turns out I am missing a colour I might like. OH would laugh, even so I feel my rose and pot habit is somehow not wholesome so like others I fudge the purchase issues
    Lovely open spot for GdeF there @Woodgreen, hope it does well.

    Yes, but mostly shouty neighbours.

    @Victoria Sponge I didn't know you were just looking for shrubs.
  • Hello Rose Experts! I've got a question about growing from seed. I was given a packet of seeds a few years ago, never got round to doing anything with them, seemed like such a faff, but now I'm obsessed with gardening so I've given it a go. Started stratification in January, sowed about 15 in late Feb, no signs yet and I'm wondering how long to give them before I send them to the great compost heap in the sky? Lost the packaging, haven't a clue what they are, although they were vacuum sealed so I'm hopeful they were still viable. Any thoughts?

    Hello @Heartinthedirt , excellent name btw. I have no idea about your seed viability but my home-harvested ones took longer than that to germinate last year.
  • Thanks Tack, for both things! 😁
