I did an aphid clean-off with a hose a couple of weeks ago and it’s definitely helped reduce the load. The ladybirds are out, but no birds thanks to my cat.

Desdemona has won the race in my garden for the first bloomer. Boscobel I suspect won't be far behind...can't wait for that one.

A Desdemona from me too. I don't have too many aphids.

Too many slugs/snails though. This is third year when my clematis is trying to grow and loosing the battle 😔

Reine Victoria is very lovely and graceful @Marlorena.

2.5, 3.5 and 4 inches respectively on my blooms, I’ve cropped them close so that probably makes them look bigger! The Prince is still flopping more than usual despite the potassium feed.

And comparing Nabonnand Teas, here is Noella Nabonnand just entering it’s second season so a lot of growing to do yet. I think your Marie will probably prove superior Marlorena, such a shame it seems lost to commerce in Europe.
