    @Rojas
    I too am growing Constance Spry but it's only in it's 2nd year and will have about half a dozen blooms on this summer. Could I ask how long has yours taken to become such an impressive sight. I don't think mine will be as vigorous as yours though as it is growing in bright shade rather than sun.

    My summer flowering rambler Maria Lisa is under whelming . The bottom part below 1m50 is in bloom but on the laterals of the high main cane  above 2 meter) that is trained  fully horizontal since last year there is zero bud… I did not prune last year as recommended but this is just 😒.
     So not sure if I will see still additional flowers in June …

    Regarding that growing habit of Gdf  I have the perception it does not really like training .. I leave it more on its own instead of Guirlande what is for more easier and reacts better (Wichuraiana )
    or is this just me…

    Anyone has any experience with purple Eden? Or has heared something …
    a good friend wants to give it as a present but I do not know anything about that rose at all..

    Ok never mind the question about purple Eden :). It seems to be another name for ebb tide…
    they can make things confusing …

    ..yes I agree with you, I'd say that was 'Night Owl', as the foliage looks correct for that rose too.. I've just checked it..

    Lots of lovely roses and great views...  !..  some really gorgeous ones tonight..

    @Mr. Vine Eye  Malvern Hills is gorgeous as always. My phone camera doesn’t seem to be able to catch the colour of Gabriel Oak.

    @JessicaS Is does look like my Night Owl as well.

    I’ve planted a clematis Ernst Markham next to my Starlight Symphony Rose. I’m not sure it was a good idea; it might look good in the first few years, but I’m afraid the clematis might be too vigorous in the end.

    Is there such thing as a successful mature rose + mature clematis combination?
