More Mottisfont pics. The first one is Celsiana. It doesn't have tidy quartered blooms but for overall spectacle it is hard to beat when in full flush.
A couple of beauties there @Omori...I especially like La Rose de Molinard. Do the blooms cope well in the northern climate. And what are it's growing habits.
@WhereAreMySecateurs I love my Evelyn too. It has beautiful big flat nicely fragranced flowers with lovely colours.

I just love the scent. May find it difficult to open during continuous rain. Lady Emma Hamilton: This is my absolute favourite of all! I just can't stop admiring this rose.Â
Peekaboo! Jubilee Celebration and Lady Emma Hamilton My Salvia Mainacht/Caradonna is doing well this year. What should I do make it re-flower? Should I cut it back to the ground ? Many Thanks.
Scent in roses can change from morning to afternoon, as proved by the French perfume industry in Grasse where they tested roses for fragrance.  Some chemicals that produce scent were more prominent in the morning, others in the afternoon..
'Bring Me Sunshine'... I have worked my voodoo on this rose once again and I now find the scent has changed to a tea scent at 1pm today.. gone is the myrrh, in comes pure tea, like opening a bag of PG Tips, or perhaps something better.. The colour of this bloom is intense and even has hints of pink..
...morning myrrh.. ..afternoon tea... 'The Anniversary Rose'.. like a bowl of tropical fruit, or frangipani as WAMS said earlier.. I'm familiar with frangipani from my time in Brisbane.. 'Enchantress' ['Scentuous'] on the left.. 'Lovely Parfuma' on the right.. both likely Austin derivatives.. we know LP is from 'Geoff Hamilton' rose, and I suspect 'Enchantress' to be similar, maybe from 'Scepter'd Isle'.. 'E' has strong myrrh scent of a lower note than LP, which is higher, more of a bottled scent to my nose.. both really lovely roses so far.. perhaps LP has the better form..
